    Todd, your videos are masterful. The photography, your choice of music, your restful pace, and your soothing voice, make for superb videos. They are so comforting, that I play them in the evening to fall asleep to. Thank you for all you do. 👍

    M240 remains a gem. Love the color science in that old beast. Really nice set of photos✌

    • @toddkorolphoto
      @toddkorolphoto  3 місяці тому

      The 240 is a great camera, I really love the colour out of it, in some ways more than the M10.

    • @SourPlanet
      @SourPlanet 3 місяці тому

      @@toddkorolphoto I hear that a lot, and I feel the same way. I think for editing consistently, the M10 is probably more reliable. For editing less, I think the M240 is preferable. I'm glad the M10 is more like the M240 than not, though. Eventually getting M240 won't be possible!

    Absolutely agree with everything you mentioned about the city and the people and how it should be at the top of every photographer's list of places to visit. I was there about 15 years ago and it's definitely on my list of places to return to.

    The picture cycle has brought back many memories, as I have visited Istanbul repeatedly over the years since 1987 (Leica M6 on Film) and photographed a lot (Leica M.2 140). Istanbul has changed a lot in this time, the natural, original has fallen by the wayside due to the mainly commercial orientation. But Istanbul is still a fascinating city that offers photographers an inexhaustible range of motifs.

    • @toddkorolphoto
      @toddkorolphoto  4 місяці тому

      I bet, I wish I would have visited as well back in the 80's, I saw some photography from back then by a photographer, it looked like a great place to make photos.

    It's interesting that you got the idea of visiting Istanbul from the Bond movie of From Russia with Love. My impression with this city had to be with another movie - Midnight Express.

      For my case, I saw Midnight Express before seeing From Russia with Love in a rerun.
      Sort of an irony, the Four Seasons Sultanahmet today was exactly that detention center Billy Hayes put under custody.
      We're there in the early 2010's and have been looking to go again.
