He's not sorry. He stayed because he LOVED the idea that he could look at all those people knowing what he'd done. That was the power he held. A remorseful person would have come forward a LONG time ago. The only regret he has is being caught. He's nothing but a POS.
The man who murdered the school teacher and then stayed around town for the next 30 years just reveling in it made me sick. But, the wife of that man that they showed I did not feel that it was necessary to have her in this. I mean can you imagine her and the rest of her family I don't know if they had children or not but to have had her face included in this I thought was in poor taste. She has a lot to go through yet.
Help me understand this aspect of that 2nd case: Investigators across 3 states were able to link their murders based on matching perpetrator dna they found at each of their crime scenes. But the perpetrator was in & out of prison his whole life (19:11), meaning his DNA would be in CODIS. So if the investigators could link the dna at each of their crime scenes, why couldn't they also get a link/hit to this guy's DNA in CODIS?
Good question & I wonder what the answer is to that question as well. I could be wrong, but I think that they can only take DNA from for felony charges, and I’m not sure what he was in and out of jail for. If they were all misdemeanors, then they wouldn’t routinely take DNA, I think. If he was in prison for any felony charges, I thought DNA would always be taken, but I could be wrong on that as well.
Raymond must have other victims. Anyone who studies criminology and criminal psychology knows that someone doesn’t just kill a random victim with sexual motivation, midway through their life, and then never kill again. Especially if they are able to act as normally as he did after, as if nothing was wrong and he had done nothing. They need to follow his movements. Especially to any jobs he had as a DJ on the road out side of town or state especially.
I know for a fact that he must have other victims. At the very least he is a serial rapist. But I believe he has other murder victims. He may very well be a serial date rapist who slowly increased the intensity of their crimes. Being a local DJ who was popular in the nightlife scene would have given him plenty of access to be able to slip drugs into victims drinks behind the bar. If he was away at gigs out of town or state he may have followed these drugged victims out of the bar and taken them and killed them. And no one would have known better to connect dots if he did this while traveling since they wouldn’t connect him to those areas.
Raymond Rowe as a DJ, did gigs at bars and elsewhere so he knew the party scene, including local gossip. Christy was having an affair with a married man 20 years older for the last 2 two years. Rowe likely knew, as affairs are tough to hide in small town America. He more than likely got infatuated with her and wanted a piece of the action. DJ's think they're entitled for some reason and she likely turned him down or simply ignored him, a jerk. The affair may have costed her her life.
The guy had a family and when police came to a hotel room he was staying in he shot himself just after the police got his wife and kids out the room. It took a while for them to realise he was a serial killer and they didnt know why he shot himself as they went to the hotel on another call not for him.
If I heard correctly her brother was the only one that is still alive. So sad the other family members we’re not able to get the news that they found the killer
Ray Rowe took a gamble on staying and didn’t think he’d ever have to answer for his heinous murder. At the time of the murder he was supposedly doing cocaine. Murder has no statute of limitations. RIP Christy
The first story, how that little girl grew up,and remembered her teacher. That right there shows what a wonderful person Christy was. Second story, knowing that trash had been dead for years is a relief. He didn't hurt anyone else.
Raymond Rowe was sentenced to "life in prison, plus 60 to 120 years." Two years after his conviction, the former DJ requested a new trial and opposed his original guilty plea.
The cop talking about the price of parabon Nano Labs being worth it.. heck yeah it's worth it. Cops would spend so many more thousands of dollars doing other investigation work, when parabon Nano Labs actually saves a ton of money and man hours if you really think about it.
I am just watching Netflix re Christy case and I am outraged by her neighbours who saw a unknown guy parked nearby and walking towards Christy apartment, heard woman’s screams and she and her roommate did nothing??! I find real satisfaction when i learn that cold cases are solved & we know who & why people commit such disgusting acts of violence against another human being. thank you for the vids.
I feel satisfied too hearing about justification for these innocent victims. Just knowing these souls were not forgotten no matter how long their cases have been collecting dust and been in a cold case file. God Bless the investigators that don’t give up- May justice be served swiftly to all who deserve it 🙏🏽 ⚖️❤️
i agree!!! && it’s truly amazing how many cold cases have been solved this year alone due to advances in technology and DNA testing SO many families have been brought a peace of mind for their loved ones with hopefully MANY more to come!
Genevieve Zitricki, who went by Jenny, was 28 years old and recently divorced when she was found beaten and strangled to death in her bathtub at what was then Hidden Lake Apartments on Villa Road in 1990.
I still don't understand why people do such awful awful things to other human beings. They didn't even know their victims. But, what still bothers me is that news journalist and the police and things like it they talk about closure. There is no closure. I lost my husband in 1998 and my oldest son in 2005. No one was ever held responsible for either of their deaths. There is no closure. The only thing that has kept me going is my other child also a son who lives with me and the knowledge that I will see my loved ones eventually
You know I have been watching a heck of a lot of these murder mystery documentaries. And in the ones I’ve seen the murderer is usually is someone very very close the deceased 😢
The DP should never ever be taken off the table! Fortunately in not a victim of any kind but I will never ever think the death penalty is inhumane. No way criminals deserve to have their life taken away when they take a life
For the families of victims of violent crime, there is no such thing as closure. Closure is a word that people not personally involved in such cases use. It might be closure to the investigators because that particular case is closed and they can move on to the next one. But the pin md feelings are always there right under the surface. There is no such thing as closure.
Umm, because there's no other evidence or eye witnesses to help with narrowing down legitimate suspects. It was early 90s I think. DNA testing was in its infancy. You heard investigators say, he wasn't even on their radar. Unless the killer confessed or somebody knew and came forward with information, those cases were not going to be solved. That's why they said it was their last shot. DNA testing and science is a beautiful tool, that hopefully can give more family/friends and law enforcement involved with other cold cases closure.
I can feel the family's pain. I have lost two female relatives due to the boyfriends not accepting them breaking up with them. One was strangled with a fan cord and the other was shot in the back with a rifle
Murderers confess and the evidence is undeniable then they should get death-periodT and it shouldn’t be prolonged. Punishment should be swift and quick in an obvious guilty case.
These killers get out of jail. I just can't fathom how they let them go. It's like letting out a bunch of hungry lions on the street with people everywhere.
Not that her appearance matters, but Christy's picture radiates a beautiful, sweet & friendly person. I feel especially sad because she exudes kindness through a smile more beautiful than a fashion model.
The way I understand it…..is that unbeknownst to the murderer, their relative has sent in for a DNA test. Like a far distant cousin or maybe even a brother or father. Probably rarely does an actual murderer send their DNA anywhere for the reason you stated.
Yes a relative sent in a genealogy test and it was traced that way. That's how they found Sherri Papini's bf that hid her when she claimed she was abducted.
That ship has sailed. Everyone knows about DNA now. And cops can get a court order in a suspect or take something out of their trash. And genetic genealogy uses family DNA as far out as fourth cousins. Pandora's box is opened
That's pretty country down there. Pleasant rolling fields, lots of Amish farms, horse drawn buggys, many homey little towns and country stores. Not the type of place you'd expect to see a psychopath. Strange though, he didn't repeat after things got quiet. You'd think that would have emboldened him.

Wow. That really hit me, ‘the killer was free longer than the victim was alive.’
