I built this one and was able to get it with 3 extra habs - a 2x1 and 2 companionways for placing beds/workstations in. I used the slayton B class enginesx4, still a B class reactor as well, added a extra set of landing gear infront of what you placed on the design ( only having 2 legs for a ship of that size triggered me), gave it a few extra small cargoholds to boost it to 2700-ish cargo AND only weighs 1800 tons with 100 manoeuvrability!. Overall awesome designs that almost anyone can tweak to what they want 😁. And your probably THE best ship designer out there.
Those are some really good upgrades. I don't know if you had a chance to see the Ship Optimizations timestamp, but I do change the Class B reactor to a Class C as well though this might eat into the extra hab space you managed to create. @high_key i did see the upgrades but decided i wanted to keep the ship as B class so it would be a challenge in ship fights while also keeping it as light as possible for that mobility 😊

hey man, long time no chat. did you make this ship before the release of the creation kit? I haven't found myself really interested in using the creation kit. I like this ship because it kind of sticks to the basic roots of advanced shipbuilding that we used to create original basic designs in the first place. I especially liked that you went with class c reactor and class a engines, but was able to keep the mass down, holding on to that top speed. this is something I've been trying to do with ships for a while but I always end up going over with Mass. then I just kind of accept that I'm not able to go as fast as I possibly could. definitely a like from me. excellent work. -X-

Dude believe it or not this was the first time I realized you can optimize ships this way. I dont know why I never thought of using Class C modules with Class A engines before. I guess like you I was always concerned about mass but man the SA-4330's are so clutch for that. Clean and simple build yet one of my favorites as an all-rounder. ****POST 1.13.61 AUGUST UPDATE DISCLAIMER:**** With the recent update removing Flipping, Variant Swap, and Duplication as we used to know it, merging certain parts together in this build like the reactor, grav drive, and fuel tank will require a slightly different process. Duplication is still available but with a slight difference: Select the part you want to Duplicate downwards, and select the corresponding Nova Bracer indicated in the video. Then Duplicate both parts. The parts will Duplicate in place instead of Duplicating downwards like what is shown in the video. Simply select the Duplicated part and then press Space (Accept), and the part should Duplicate downwards. Slightly different, just an extra step but with the same outcome if done correctly. As for the sections that require Flipping or Variant Swap, you will also have to the new Duplication method to merge parts. If you get stuck, reach out to me, and I will help, but try to have your ship in a save-able condition in case I don't respond to you right away, so you can come back to it. If you still have trouble, I recommend watching this video from JRamosWorks Gaming Fun.
