My suggestions: Put a leaderboard PIP so we can see who’s in the lead. Like EuroRC. Put a microphone on the announcer or get a better mic on the camera so we can hear the announcer. Get a better camera or learn how to adjust settings so the whole screen isn’t all glare

Watching a carpet race isn’t as exciting as clay but I sure do miss driving on carpet.

That's literally the only advantage it has for the driver. And on the flip side:
      1. Car control is almost completely eliminated as a factor, leaving only line knowledge and setup as the main deciding factors of a race.
      2. The cars have become overspecialized and extremely expensive, partially because there's no point in selling an RTR version to offset tooling costs as RTRs of carpet cars won't sell. Bashers won't buy them because they want to be able to run them on rough terrain, and racers won't buy them because they'd rather buy the kit version.
      3. For stock classes specifically, you also end up having to buy a bunch of additional driveline hop-ups to reduce weight and rolling resistance to be competitive, ones that you either wouldn't need in the lower-traction environment of dirt or would actually be fouled up by dirt.
      4. Racing's nowhere near as close as it is on dirt. Because the cars basically control like they're in a video game, it's a lot easier to drive at the knife-edge of your car's limits. As a result, the race leader can build up a lead and maintain it easier, and it's a lot harder for those behind to catch up without overdriving their car and either overshooting jumps or traction rolling.
Honestly, if you want a perfectly clean surface, astroturf is a better choice. It's not quite as stupidly grippy so it feels a bit more like clay or dirt (best comparison would be "golf green" low-cut grass), but still doesn't result in a muddy car.

I can see why they moved away from clay, but carpet is like perving on your sister. "Just because you can doesn't mean you should"
