I wish there was more footage of Lee Bermejo drawing, his work is so beautiful and detailed, I'd love to see his full process on how he creates his art.

Bermejo and Azzarello are a perfect fit, even if they feel a bit awkward around each other.

"We've been working on Black Label books for 20 years now". Now when you get "freedom" to make the "Batman for Grown-ups", your hands are immediately tied and your release schedule gets de-railed. Makes the Black Label seem gimmicky. I still hold out hope that you're free to tell your story without feeling like I am missing out on what this was supposed to be based on DC catering to mass hysteria (especially as easily eager for needless conflict many people are).
I still have hope for this opportunity for DC to give the Black Label a backbone.
These first issues of Batman Damned are great! Still, can't help but wonder what issues 2 & 3 would have looked like had the political fiasco over the first issue not been given power.
I am really excited for Black Label books to come.

What's the point of the Black Label if you're just gonna conform, DC?
