God, I thank you for your Son Jesus and His Finished Cross Work. I thank You for soul salvation and the forgiveness of sin, for Your grace and Mercy, for who You are, and for who I am in You.! We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.!
So many men are broken today because we are the first generation to exist in the digital age. We are built to work with our hands as we are given the strength to do it both mentally and physically, but unfortunately this trait is not as useful as it once was. Office/computer/paper work requirements have crippled men, especially if they are more warrior than poet. Warrior like men are being weakened. Poets leading the way isn't working out too well. I wish we could go back to where physical work was mostly the option. This crap now sucks. Women love all the noise of our modern western culture. They refuse to go back to simplicity and men only do what keeps women happy. Hopefully men quickly evolve to adapt to our new way of doing things.
I agree with a lot of this sentiment. I will say I believe following the Bible is the antidote to this. My wife and I both grew up in the third/fourth wave feminism culture (that pretty much everyone in the west has grown up with). Marriages don't work when the husband isn't strong and leading, and when the wife isn't willing to submit to being led. The husband, of course, must be a good man for this to work. Therein lies the problem oftentimes that has led to the rise in feminism. Women are raised now to believe they don't want a man to lead, but in reality, the formula actually works. My wife is/was very strong willed. I grew up in a very egalitarian household as well. Our first few years of marriage weren't bad, but they had rough spots. When both of us really surrendered our lives to Christ, and really started reading what the Bible has to say on this subject, we submitted to its authority (which has a complementarian view. the man is to lead and to love his wife. The woman is to respect her husband. That meant me stepping up and becoming a better man, and a woman definitely responds to that). In that sort of relationship, the best strengths of a good man are on display, and the best strengths of a woman are as well. Our marriage did a 180 and its been so solid and enjoyable since. It isn't perfect, but every year gets better and better.
