Do you know how I can apply to the LSE without paying the application fee? I don't have the money to pay at the moment, but I have all the documents ready.

I’d say it’s best to ask the admissions office to get their most up to date policy (and have a look on the website first) - it might be worth looking into scholarship options because sometimes they also cover the admissions fee if your application is successful. That’s the only way I can think of off the top of my head but I hope the admissions team give you some more info! Can imagine it’s a tough situation to be in and really hope you get the best outcome for you. Sending lots of warm wishes your way ❤️

i've watched many personal statement readings on youtube of those who've gotten into LSE and those who haven't. but one common thing i've noticed is they all put in massive bunch of phrases and concepts so much that it's sometimes hard to differentiate between what is deduced by them and what are mere facts they learnt. what is your take on that? what should the ps be like? is it good to add more deductions, lessons from experiences and less terms? or does lse look for too much knowledge?

That’s a tricky one because I think too much of anything becomes a bit like “name dropping” - a lot of different things mentioned but not much substance behind each of them. The advice I heard when I was applying was to focus on one or very few ideas/concepts if I wanted to include them at all and then explore them in a bit more depth. So rather than focusing on the number I think the key is to demonstrate your ability to understand things in detail (LSE’s motto “understand the causes of things”), form your opinion (but backed up by evidence) and then communicate it eloquently in your personal statement. I don’t believe it’s necessary to add in concepts for the sake of just ticking it off to have a good personal statement but if you do go for it I’d focus on quality not quantity. Hope this is helpful and of course bear in mind I applied a while ago so might not have the most up to date view. Best of luck if you’re applying!❤️
