Wow, not having to create a separate displacement map is an improvement from a certain other software I used to use. Thanks.

Wow, I never even considered it as an improvement since I got so used to it. But it certainly is! Thanks for pointing it out !

Good explanation. You can also use this Distort/Displace technique to place an image onto a textured surface like woodgrain, textiles or watercolour paper by placing images of them under your top image. Try it when creating a pencil sketch from a photo. It adds a whole extra level of realism.

Awesome trick. I have seen a dude do perspective transform using PS. But this one is faster and easier. In PS layer navigation is more complex and require more step.

Wow; what an amazing well presented and educational video. It is so cool to watch an instructor to think outside the box of normal photo manipulation. Learning different ways of producing effect is what will make you a good designer/creator. Displacement filter is something that I am going to work into my projects. That is great news that you are getting the support that you deserve. I am sure there are many of us followers that would want to support you in creating more videos. Thank you Rensi

Nicely done. Instead of brushing on the head of the penguin reflection, you could have made a mask on the reflection itself, and place a gradient in it (white to black). That way the reflection slowly becomes more transparent, and less visible the more you get away from it's feet. That is what you also see with the reflection of the girl.
You can also place the gradient in the layer in which you brushed now. The effect is not exactly the same. The last one will only effect the brightness.

Hey Johan! Thanks for your feedback! Yea I figured there are so many ways to get same or similar results in Affinity Photo. Most times I simply used the first thing that pops up in my head that will do the job :) But you’re right, gradients work amazing together with masks too! Definitely a good tip. Thanks! 😊

Thanks for a great video. May I suggest you increase the size of your mouse cursor, so that it is easier to follow it and also arrange it so that there is like a wave radiating from the cursor wherever you click your mouse. It will make it much easier for people to follow your tutorials, especially people of my age group. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your kind words and great feedback, Behram! Back when I recorded this video I didn’t have the proper screen recording software yet. However, my new videos are equipped with all you mention! (Even though I haven’t enlarged my cursor yet. Will consider it!) thanks for tuning in, and hope my future tutorials are easier to follow! Cheers 😊

Hi resi, I love tutorials, and I auto subscribe for you.
Btw, how to make a non-destructive mockup? Like a smart object that can be changed whenever we want. And when the object is wrapped or liquify it doesn't break. Or is there another way?

@@IAMRENSI I thought I had seen it in your channel, maybe not. Basically a subject is in front of the mirror, and the reflection of the subject in the mirror is am evil version of themselves.
