"Hot Girls in Love" was covered by the short-lived European glam rock band, The Cherry Bombz, and was the title track to their 1985 mini-LP (although that record was originally entitled The Cherry Bombz). The Cherry Bombz version is quite faithful to the original, but female vocals by Anita Chellemah (formerly of British New Wave act Toto Coelo, who did "I Eat Cannibals") and the high-energy guitar of Andy McCoy (formerly of Finnish glam band Hanoi Rocks) set it apart somewhat.

This is cuts above anything we see today. Anita is on FIRE!!! Brillant band and frontwoman.
I saw them in Denver in 86 at the Rainbow music hall. Absolutely a fantastic show. The sad part was there were literally around 30 in attendance it was loosely 2 rows of right in front of the stage. But they rocked like they sold out Hammersmith! What a band!!! On another cool note, I went with 3 of my best friends ever, and I met 2 more friends that night, and that we have stayed close all these years! So here is to Steve, Tracy {RIP}, Glenn, Gina, Jody!!! What a night!

brings me back to the time (runaways, hanoi rocks, cherry bombz era) when glam bands, or at least some glam bands, were RESPECTED by members of the "alt rock" crowd.
I love the way she shakes her... stuff when she sings the title line. So full of joy and fun.

Basically, there was nothing wrong in this line-up but it never locked. Anita's vocal range was quite limited despite nice raspy voice.
