    In this lesson, you will learn what a common factor is in a polynomial expression in Algebra. We will then use the concept of a common factor to pull out, or factor, the greatest common factor (GCF) from a multi term expression (polynomial).
    This is a crucial skill because factoring the greatest common factor in algebra is necessary to solve equations and inequalities for more complex topic in algebra 1, algebra 2, and college algebra.

    There is a huge difference between teachers who explain the logic of a process and those who don't, this guy is explaining everything and it's a damn shame that a lot of teachers don't care to even explain math when it's literally their job.

    Omg! I've been struggling with this for almost a week now... not going to lie I was crying while watching this video. Towards the end it just magically clicked, tysm! You have no idea how helpful you are and I'm grateful! Please keep making these videos for the sake of my sanity.

    Ok, so I'm studying to take my TSIA2 and I just couldn't for the life of me understand how my teacher was distributing the exponents. It takes me a while to understand things sometimes, but the way you broke this down is just amazing! I'm so happy that I finally know how to factor using the GCF. Now I wonder if you have a video on trinomials lol

    Thank you so much for explaining in detail and giving problems to do. I’m 35 and have failed my math portion of the ged, but these videos are giving me hope. I never learned algebra. Thank you so much.

    I understood this in 30 minutes when it took me a proper month and a half in school. Wish I found this channel sooner. Love it.

    I have a question about your problem around the 23 min mark. I feel the answer is incorrect. And it should be 5y2z(5x2 + 3z) I could be wrong and my dyslexia sees it different. Sorry if that’s the case

    10x^2 + 5x^2(y) = 5x(2x + xy) is what I got as an answer. It that still correct?

    • @pearlmoon3057
      @pearlmoon3057 3 роки тому

      Yes but it can be simplified further by making the 5x into 5x^2 so you wouldn’t have to write X out again in the parentheses

    I had to find this to understand your proof on the Law of Cosine video.
    For over two years now, in my spare time, I have been working on understanding the triangle. I could not have ever imagined how complicated a triangle really is. It has been hard, but so much fun at the same time.

    When I look at these videos, I realize the importance of knowing your multiplication tables. And I see why students have problems with high school math-they are not proficient in multiplication, and they are not proficient in the basic arithmetic operations.

    You ROCK!!!! I think you just saved me. My professor is horrible and I don't mind saying so. He's so mean to me I'm afraid to even ask questions.

    For the first time, I understand factoring, of a polynomial, I might have made a B in your class instead of my usual D-.
