I can still remember the SAFAIR Hercules landing at our Air Base back in the 80s' during the Bush War. Completely white or cream coloured with no markings or visible registration. Then we knew it was here to collect the special forces for an insertion operation. And on cue at 8 pm, it would start its engines, take off, circle the base and head off to the north. But that is many moons ago and only the memories of an aging man.

A very interesting video. I had no idea that Lockheed built a civilian variant of the military C-130 Hercules. You can always learn something new watching UA-cam! It is amazing that aircraft that old still have a place in aviation. I was just wondering if there is a maximum of hours on the air frame that require the aircraft to be removed from service? Thanks for allowing the public the rare opportunity to ride along in the C-100!
