    Thank you for giving us a look at something. The majority of the members would never get to see. Appreciate it, Paul

      Came here to write the same. It's great to get to see behind the curtain and all the work that goes on. ~ Chuck

      one of the goals when running for a seat on the board was to make MAFCA more approachable and accessible. This is just one step in that direction.

    Unfortunately, we lost a lovely MAFCA two-door sedan to a UA-camr (puddins fab shop), cutting it up to build a Chevy-powered Hotrod. I don't understand why people wreck these cars. Keep being a good voice for these cars, Paul!

    • @ModelA
      @ModelA  6 місяців тому

      I'm trying! Other UA-camrs get more attention because they have more subscribers. I don't beg for subscribers in every video like others do, so fewer subscribers, less attention.

      Keep on going! Have you seen the video? If not you should check it out. But maybe you shouldn't its tough to watch. I know VGG has interviewed him in the past.

      @@doxey41 I don't like watching people chop up Model As. But it's their car and do whatever they want with it. I don't have to watch it.

    Well, Paul, this UA-cam presentation has really impressed me as next to the visit of the MAFCA office you had an interview with Mr.ED Tolman, and I really enjoyed this interview. Reason, as I am or have even this afternoon talked to him and he is a very help full gentleman and have so enjoyed his shop. As these comments are read by a lot of viewers, I will also call Sandra tomorrow to order the poster of the picture of Henry and the model A’s.
    I was really impressed the organization you are part of and the administration that’s behind MAFCA. Feel very proud to be part of this club all the from Curacao in the Caribbean. Great footage Paul.

    I wanted to see the tiny box where they keep the USB drives, each one of which contains 50 years of The Restorer. Not enough people know about those. Also they need to digitize more issues.

    Looks like a neat place, lots to see, for those that have the opportunity to see it in person. Cool vise, that would be nice to have. My pockets are very shallow, but I would still love to get a Model A Truck or 4 door. Thanks Paul, have a wonderful weekend!

    Behind the scenes! Cool!
    By the bye... What kind of length measurement do you get for Bumper to bumper on Roadie? I'm considering building a shelter for that exact vehicle and am curious how much room I should provide for the enclosure. I don't have the vehicle yet, but I'm wearing the owner down..."So to speak". Never thought about measuring it when I looked at it. DAH!!

    It be great if you guys expand it by fixing Ford Model A, sending parts and merchandise to people who love Ford Model A. I meant club of course.

      The various Model A parts vendors make a living selling Model A parts to people. The MAFCA clubs help people keep the cars on the road.

    Great memories of high school auto and metal shop seeing those machines. I hope to get some of the automotive stuff for the new barn, like a Sun scope with all of the connections. I still own a timing light, dwell meter, had those since 1976, like new condition as I always kept them in a hard case. Soon it will be time to wake up the fleet and check them all out. Motor Muster is coming up in June, only showing one car. Enjoy the new position brother, you'll be great. de N8IWS ,73

      Thanks, OM! FYI- I have one of those Sun type machines. It's been under a cover but outside. Free for the taking.

    That is very close to my house, I've been past it a million times, but never see any vehicles there, it always looks closed. I will swing in some day. I don't own a model A but I think the old stuff is cool. I have a 56 F100, and someday want to have a Model A or T. Great video. Be safe!

    Don't be mad, I'm a neophyte, but is there a modern motor & running gear that fits into an otherwise stock A? (I know about Shay, but the idea of that plastic body, yuk!)

    • @ModelA
      @ModelA  6 місяців тому +2

      I have heard of people putting Ford Pinto stuff into a Model A. But most of the fun of a Model A is lost when they do that.

    • @williamforbes5826
      @williamforbes5826 6 місяців тому +2

      About that motor swap...
      Yes, the Pinto 2.3 liter 'Lima' engine will fit. But it also means more changes to the car than you would imagine.
      Unless you are able to engineer all of the changes and pull off the work (you are on your own!) I would not recommend this.
      Nearly everything you need to keep an A original and running is available. Get with a nearby model A club. Chat them up. They are a wealth of info and happy to indulge you. Good luck and happy motoring!!

    Great visit and I love the machine shop. Those tools are top notch; some people cry because of the prices but they don’t realize that you get what you pay for and in most cases won’t need to replace down the line. A famous quote by the late Gene Berg in California: “Buy the best, cry once”.

    • @ModelA
      @ModelA  6 місяців тому +1

      Very true!! Love that quote.
