as a person with cp and hemiplegic its good reading the comments ive heard and read this is heavy to left and fold as much i want this here in Australia the weight and ease of folding is the key for many people.as many bus drivers do not assist anything over 20 kgs

Folds compactly, and yes it weighs about 60 pounds. Of course it it was make of titanium it would weigh less, but cost around $16,000.00 dollars. It’s a good machine at $3800.00.

I wish I could afford one of these as it is easy to fold down so I can take it on public transport easier and then I can do more things with my kids as I don't drive and neither does my partner so rely on public transport. I do have a boot scooter which comes apart but it is so bulky and the battery is sooooo heavy and to use it on the bus I have to do a test to prove I am capable of using it safely on the bus without hitting any one whereas this would be great as it folds into a suitcase and can be wheeled about so much better.

They have a more basic model than this slightly cheaper, also eBay also has the Atto as a used one for around 1200 so very good value and does the same fold-up type action, I tried one and they are very capable but are heavier than the adds make them look. but if you need one maybe you should consider looking at a good used, will help you at a lower budget.

@@chrisbyrne4787 yeah I have been wanting one of the original ones since I had seen them come out. I am starting to try and save up for one but will take some time but hey will get there! I wanted this one because it goes further on a charge but am thinking more for the original one for now!

Don't be fooled into thinking theyre light or easy to fold because they're neither in my experience. Much heavier than I expected so I am still reliant on an able bodied person being with me to lift in and out of car boot. Not the independence I expected at all. To be fair though the weight is made clear before purchasing, its just much heavier than expected or shown on videos online.

@@jayes776 they make lifts to put them in your truck/van/suv... if you have a regular sedan, you'll have to figure that one out yourself.

Great speed and material but real’y not light! Unlike other companies who even promote the scizor lift, this one is misleading with its super light component. If its for your parents or someone with any form of weakness, its not a perfect solution to their independence at all. Im young with chronic issues and I wld really need assistance. I dont appreciate the misleading nature of their ads compared to other companies, ppl shld know. But it works great.

I have been using mine for over three weeks now. After a lot of reviews and testing out different ones I decided it to buy this. It is not for someone with weight and mobility issues. I have to have my boyfriend open and close it. After 3 weeks, the front wheel started to squeak loud. Called the supplier in the US : mobility scooter store in L.A. I live in New York. They have not replied to my request although I was assured they have 24 hour service call. I went on line and their support page doesn’t even exist. I am concerned to travel with this ! How much more trouble should I expect from a $4000 dollar investment…..

I live in the UK and its been hit and miss. Its best to buy from a specialist seller who can pick it up and hopefully understand how to fix any issues. Not a good idea to buy this unless they can provide good after sales service. I have had to have mine over 2 years fixed four times and replaced once beacause they sold me a faulty seconds one.
