- Hi, welcome to this video have you been struggling with your serve, but you’re not sure exactly what part of it tripping you up? Well, I am glad you’re here because in this series I am going to be breaking the serve down in-depth, but I’m going to make it easy every time I release a video I’m going to break down a specific part of the serve, I’m going to let you know what to look for, and then you have to go out there, and you have to practice it until the next release of another video.

Damn, great tip. I was always just lining up my front foot the side post of the net. I’ll put more thought about shoulder positioning.
Great point! I will definitely try this tip when I hit the court next time. Thanks much Jordan.
Great point; I will work on it
As a struggling 3.5 player with a weak serve this series of improvements is just what I am looking forward to get me to 4.0 Thanks Jordan.
Thanks for explanation. I was always uncertain why your feet are pointed at the net post on the deuce side. I always thought the target was the returner. This makes sense now. This convention was probably passed from generation to generation without thinking. You are probably one of few coaches that know.
Hey Jordan, I like this way of lining up. Should your shoulder orientation be the same for Flat/Slice/Topspin serves. Mark
Hi Mark. Yes it will.
should shoulders line up with the tee on deuce and add side
Hi Jordan, I know you mentioned you're a right hander, are the alignments the same for us lefties? If not perhaps a quick mention for the lefties in future vids, thanks.
it would be the opposite. deuce side you would do what he said for ad side and ad side you would do what he said for deuce side
Correct it is the opposite.
I'm fairly new to tennis, so I'm unsure about even asking this question, but here goes--does this apply to doubles? It seems to me that it has to vary depending on exactly where the server chooses to stand. Looking forward to your reply Jordan... thanks!
Hi Walter
It is the same for doubles Regardless of where you stand. Just make sure to align your shoulders up properly
Tennis Beyond , thank you!
