thank you for the free plugin @hainbach you are my favourite musician youtuber... would love to collaborate with you on anything...
keep up the interesting and cool work!!! love your music..
callsign?
The mental gymnastics associated with the fairy tale of this ridiculous senseless plugin would embarrass any monkey with enough sense to realize that these are realized imaginations, not at all facts.
Now radio telescopes are going to go up in price on Reverb
there's this fixer-upper in Puerto Rico you may not know about.... ;)
Yes, they will skyrocket 😂

Could you repeat that?
Same thoughts haha. Sending complex shit out there for decades. Suddenly a "hi, im hainbach" will connect us to the aliens :D
Thanks Hainbach, now moon prices on ebay are gonna skyrocket 🙄
Knew I should've bought the one I was bidding on last month
LOL perfect comment
😅
Have I got a deal for you! I would like to sell you the Sydney Harbour bridge for the discounted price of $100,000!
I’ve got one I’ll sell you for a great deal.
To The Moon!!!!
In a distant galaxy in a trillion years some an alien will tune a radio in and hear people shouting "pipe dreams"
And the alien will think- no intelligent life on Earth! 😅
Signal doesn't even make it to Mars. If somebody can hear us he is here already.
A message from all music producers around the world: Thank you for taking the time to show us this and make it into a free plugin for everyone to use.
John Lennon wanted this. He wanted his voice to sound like it was coming from the moon on "I Am the Walrus". Someone needs to use this plugin on a cover of "I Am the Walrus".
To the Moon, Alice!
I'm thinking of other songs we need to do. We need a new version of Bruce Haack's "National Anthem to the Moon".
Thanks for sharing that!
He also wanted one song to sound like an orange. I think this was probably the effect of LSD!
@@Hainbach orange echo when?
I've listened to that song on lsd send dmt. The lyrics got more and more distorted as the song went on. Literally sounded like this moon echo by the end of it.
What is the biggest instrument you've ever played?
Hainbach: The moon.
Best surprise ever! I sent Hainbach a sample a few months ago for a mysterious undisclosed project and then forgot about it. I obviously had no idea the sound would be transmitted to the moon and back. Just brilliant. Thank you so much, Stefan!
'400.000 kilometers...'
'Yeah that's good for delay...'
This is why we love you dude. What a great video.
the fact that this is free is incredible, thank you so much
This sounds incredible. I found the distorted vocal echoes you captured reminiscent of some of Ben Burtt’s voice treatments in the original Star Wars film (“We’re passing through the magnetic field…”).
I think, like Walter Murch did with THX1138, he sent the dry voices out from a shortwave radio transmitter and re-recorded the results on a detuned receiver, giving a uniquely warped, ring mod type effect…
"Set your deflectors double front!"
As an Audio Engineer and a Amateur Radio operator, I think this is one of the absolute coolest things you've done! Can't wait to try the plugin!! 73 de Mark, VA3HES
Whoa. This is like a mini documentary with so many wild insights and sonic delights. Bravo. This is truly epic and we really feel the shear amount of effort and time put into this video, let alone the development of the plug-in and then to give it away. So gracious. Thankfully you guys are lunatics.
That last line was perfect 😂
Here from Tom Scott's newsletter
Oh really! I had no idea
Good old EME. The thing I love about EME is that it demonstrates the distance between the Earth and the Moon and also the speed of light in a vacuum, in more ways than one.
Antenna designs are tuned based on the speed of light in a vacuum and the velocity factor of the metals used to make the antenna. If science were wrong about the speed of light and the velocity factor of different metals, these antennas would not work well enough.
Since the efficacy of these antennas prove that we are correct about these things, we can now use those same antennas to measure the round trip time for an echo off of the Moon. Since we know the speed of light in a vacuum and the round trip time, we can estimate the distance between the Moon and the Earth.
Some people believe the Moon is actually much closer to the Earth than it actually is, those people also believe lots of other strange things. Those people are wrong. There is a big experiment coming up soon for them!
Tom Scott newsletter sent me here.

the entire machinery starting up and starting to move sounds like a mech symphony in itself.
What a cool and generous project! I will really enjoy playing with the moon!
My fine fellow, thank you for the prime machinery footage. Gear boxes and oil splash are my jam!
In some distant universe an alien species picks up their first signal from outer space:
“Hi I’m Hainbach, good to have you back”
🛸
Really fun, cool plugin, thnx Hainbach and Carlo!
This is nerdy overload deluxe! Like!
In Probe Droid: "Scan of the system... the scanner on the . The base to the south. Their defenses are very impressive. I am to commence, sir.?”
The coolest Hainbach project to date! And right on the 55th anniversary of the first moon landing, which from my perspective marks the pinnacle of human ambition and achievement. Congratulations again - and thanks for making the plugin available for those who don’t have a radio dish at hand ;-)
When I started on my own iOS journey I found your channel almost straight away, enjoying the absolute experimentation of what you do, this one though, this brings me so much joy, and for you and @audiothing to do this for free!? Please keep doing what you folks do
Wow and the plug in is great. Already using it on a track I am working on now. Very cool and thanks. Appreciate your sharing this and n’ice to see someone else who is inspired by Pauline Oliveros
This is so cool! Dwingeloo is a great place, the telescope is worth visiting. I'll be there again tomorrow.
This is going to be making some dark dub sounds for me ❤
Hainbach as a radio nerd just gives me the best grin
73, Hainbach. 73.
Making a plugin from the Moon is something completely in Hainbach style
This makes my astronomer and musician heart so so happy! Why am I almost crying over a plugin ♥
The concept of this idea is beautiful. Using the moon as a echo, best plugin idea ever. Rock on Hainbach !
This is one of the best youtube videos I have ever seen. Thank you so much for this
It's great to see this kind of thing being the inspiration for plugs!
Mein lieber Herr Gesangsverein, nicht nur, dass mir Video und Plugin sehr viel Spaß beschert haben und (sowas von) werden... Die Kommentare sind auch der Hammer! It's good to have YOU überhaupt, doing all that stuff ! ;)
Ach danke dir!
The moon echoes sounded pretty gnarly & great effects to use in music!🙂🙂
Analogue horror creators are gonna have a hay day with this plugin!
Oh man I want to see Mick Gordon use the plug-in for Routine now.
What a fun and creative way to modify sound--gonna have fun with that one!
This really speaks to the true nerd in me. Too cool for words.
I did something similar to this in my eurorack where i created a sonar ping by sending a gate into my rainmaker, both delay and comb engaged, 100% delay signal. The rainmaker was sent to VCAs (as the object being hit by the sonar) and the sound sources patched into the vca would be the returning signal. Not entirely accurate to sonar at all but a very interesting experiment
I HAD THE SAME IDEA LIKE A MONTH AGO. HAINBACH YOURE THE BEST
I fully approve of this. delightful. you've managed to of my favorite topics. Pauline Oliveros' deep listening as well. thanks for the FREE plug-in. amazing.
i just did my first trys playing around with the moon. the plug in will definetly get good use in a film project i m working on. i put it on a track of an old harmonium and it was crazy, already the default setting was magic. no need to touch anything. on piano and percussion tracks it worked also very good. and it just invites to play around with it. phantastic idea. vielen dank!!
Brother, that is SO cool ....The Earth needed this haha
I’m watching this video after watching Local 58 just to creep myself out more
Thank you, Hainbach. The plugin is really fun to explore. 👍
I love that you were featured by Tom Scott on his newsletter. Well deserved.
Very happy about that! Legend
The Silent Hill vibes are strong with your recordings.
There's a set of DIY synth plans under the name of Music From Outer Space. Now _this_ is the real deal!
I can't express how beautiful this whole piece is. I love all the explanation from those adorable space nerds and the sounds this project got. Thanks a lot for your work, this has been a lot of work, for sure.
Holy shoot, this is next level nerd-dom, Hainbach this is genius!
Another great idea to put on work! Thanks Hainbach!
absolutely fantastic!
Just downloaded. Once again you have created something that we didn't know we needed. Thank you for this and thank you for making it free!
Thank you Hainbach for the rays of wonder and joy you shine into my life with your videos. ❤
What a fantastic delay effect. Well done Hainbach and everyone involved in developing this plugin.
was für ein fantastisches abenteuer...herzlichen dank, dass du uns mitgenommen hast!
This plug in is just what I was searching for! Real magic! Thanks a lot for sharing your passion and inspiration!
I just downloaded Moon Delay, and I think it is great. I can see how great this effect will be for adding lots of character to tracks. Great work on this plugin.
I really do appreciate all your plug ins work on older iPads. This iPod 4 or 6 whatever it is cost 20 pounds and I get to use all your apps which makes it an absolute bargain. Just been playing with the moon echo using the internal mic and it’s insane and tons of fun. I already know I’ll find a ton of uses for it. Thanks @hainbach for your hard work and generosity it’s truly appreciated! ❤️
So glad I was able to help a tiny bit in this process! Incredible work as usual.
Suh dude! I am properly flabbergasted! Amazing stuff as always!
Out of this world! Quite literally. Thank you for this thought provoking and inspiring app.
When you think you can't be surprised any more Hainbach appears to prove you wrong. Thanks! And massive thanks for the plugin 💛
Genius idea and execution. Love it! Your Audio Thing collabs always hit
This is incredible, I love all of it
This is literally such a dream for me! Been fascinated with radio telescopes since I was a kid 😍
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen/heard, incredible project!
My god, this is cool. One-thousand thanks for the free plugin. Love this.
That is so mega cool. Thanks for sharing
The Rhodes . . . yep. That's the stuff! What a fun and inspiring plugin! Thank you Hainbach (and crew) and everyone at Dwingeloo. And Audio Thing!
Cool plug in - thank you Hainbach and Audio Thing. These Audio Thing FX plug ins are pretty amazing.
Heinbach, you mad scientist, what an awesome experience and instrument!
that outro was insanely cool. thanks for the plugin!
So cool! And really brilliant that they were willing to let you fool around with it..
Sweet! Thank you very much 🚀🌒
A lot in common with shortwave radio, which is a big influence in a lot of my stuff!
Thanks !🌜
I make music for fun and this is sick! Thanks for giving this out! Super cool
That's amazing!
Oh god ! This idea is just great ; It will fit to my music so well. Thousands and thousands thanks for your gift, your creativity.
Hugh.
This is so awesome, what a great idea. I love the sounds & textures
Very cool
The radio spectrum is a goldmine for sounds that are good for music production. Data streams, over-the-horizon radar, and even time signals can become beats very, very easily.
Incredible ! Bravo
A day late watching this but as I am sitting in my hotel room in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland watching this video I noticed the moon rising over the mountains! Can’t wait to download it once I get back to the states
Ha ha, the plugin is soooo coool! I love it. Thank you for this amazing idea.
You're such a cool dude, @Hainbach Thanx for fulfilling another person's dreams. And have us all into the loop
Fantastic. Peak nerd in the absolute best sense. Love it.
I love a big bit of hardware!
loving this plugin! have already used it on a track :)
Sounds like a flanging effect used for guitars which delays a signal and varies the delay time to increase and decrease before comparing with the "dry' signal.
I believe it's between 2 and 7 milliseconds but I don't remember exactly. Increasing the delay time results in a "chorus" effect.
Sounds kinda like ring modulation. So cool!
Working on a project right now building some effected loops and this will just be one more beautiful texture for me to add!!! Thank you Hainbach!!!
I love every second of this video
Amazing crossover between my love for music and radio! I know most people in these video's ;)
Now let's also get LMNC there
Awww is so nerdy and beautifull plugin and free!!! OMG Hainbach thank you man!
Thank you so much for making this awesome video!
