  • Last week I showed you my Top 5 Products for Interior Detailing and i did not expect it to get so much attention. With that said we got quite a few request to do the same for our exterior detailing product so I had to give you what you asked for! My Top 5 Chemicals for Exterior Detailing. This list was not as easy to put together because i use quite a few exterior detailing products and chemicals.
    In this video we are discussing my favorite detailing product for exterior detailing. I have been using most of these products since the start of my business and they are super easy to get, very cost efficient all while doing exactly what they are ment to do.
    All of these chemicals are extremely cost effective and most are highly dilatable. Pricing in the video reflects the current price for a gallon of chemical as of the day this video is posted 6.9.24. You can find links to todays products on our resources page on our website! The link is right below the description.
    Whatever chemicals you settle on I would have one suggestion. Find a brand that works for your detailing / cleaning processes and works for your detailing business.
    Most products in this video are from @Superiorproductsclean This video is not sponsored or endorsed by Superior Products. All products are purchased by Jamie’s Detailing via a 3rd party distributor. Opinions are formed based on our own experiences with the products.

    I really love your channel bro! So informative without shilling for sponsors.
    I used the tech choice to prevent water spots on my wife's car and on a charity wash for my neighbor. I use adam's graphene boost for my truck. My wife's Rav4 is white and my 4Runner is white. The tech choice is definitely has a warmer look, almost like carnuba. I am officially on love. Great info. What is your tech choice dilution ratio?
    F30 wheel acid followed up with Dark Fury is an absolute miracle worker. It ripped 5 years worth of baked on brake dust like it was nothing. Absolutely unbelievable. I used the superior leather lotion on my seats and interior. It's phenomenal. I don't know how pros use anything but superior products if they are working with cars that are not high end.
    I wish you all the luck in the world bro. I'll spread the word on your channel and I can't wait to see you blow up in a good way! Keep putting out content and your channel will get big in no time. Salute bro!

    Hello Jamie, I was having a difficult time finding a soap that worked on my rental equipment and fleet vehicles. My oreilly salesmen recommend road warrior ,that stuff is legit, we get it in 55 gallon drums from them.

    I tried using formula 4 once. Either i did something wrong, or that stuff is just straight up dust magnet. Tried it at 10-1 out of a sprayer. not even a half hour after i was done there ws a substantial amount dust on my truck. Either it attracts dust hardcore, or its just cuz my truck is black. However, Tec 582 had no such reaction. Tec582 is my go to now.

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  9 днів тому +1

      Dang I haven’t had that happen yet with formula 4. But I do typically use a detail spray as a drying aid and that always help reduce and dust staying on the vehicle. Tec582 is my go to as well.
      Formula 4 does not always work with my current wash process since I typically use a rinseless wash for my contact wash. I prefer this method to avoid water spotting over formula 4 and it saves time doing a 2nd rinse but I left it in for people that like to do a more traditional wash process.

    Do u think formula 1 is better than P&S bead maker ? And do u think e-z shine is the best to put on after a ceramic coating?

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  15 днів тому

      Honestly they are both very comparable if you are using them as a rinse aid. If you’re using bead maker and spraying it on a dry surface at the end of your detail then I think you would get a little more longevity out of it but nothing substantial.
      When it comes to ceramic coatings, most manufacturers will probably tell you not to use anything on top of them however, I know we’re all looking for a little bit more gloss so just be aware that if you are using toppers on a ceramic coating that you may need to Strip wash/rejuvenate that coating much more frequently. When it comes to my personal vehicle, I love using toppers and use EZ-Shine Often and it looks and smells great when I’m finished. Another one I like that is great with most ceramic coatings is Tech 582.

    What about using in the soap reservoir on a pressure washer?

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  18 днів тому

      You most definitely can use them full strength directly in the reservoir however you would need to know what your low pressure injector dilutes the product in your reservoir to. For instance most basic injectors might do something like 50:1 or 100:1 or 150:1 so acid and dark fury might be hard to use in a reservoir because it dilutes the product to much. Most soaps will be fine but you will need to know your dilution ratio of your injector/ reservoir first.
      You can figure that out yourself by filling your reservoir with water then see how many gallons of water comes out of the hose by the time the reservoir is empty. Then do your calculation to get your injector dilution ratio. Then you would need to technically dilute the product in the reservoir to have the appropriate dilution to come out of the gun at the correct ratio.
      You could do some research into down stream injectors to get a better sense of the calculations needed. You can checkout some pressure washing channels they are actually pretty good at explaining that type of stuff. They typically dilute bleach in a bucket to get the proper dilution out of their downstream injectors or x-jets

    Hey one more thing which is better just for bugs? Dark Fury or bugs be gone?

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  20 днів тому

      Dark Fury will get it done but Bugz Be Gone is a dedicated bug remover. Bugz Be Gone from my experience is better at removing bugs. Usually you just spray it directly on. Then I go about my normal prewash process and power wash it off. Most bugs will come right off and if you have to scrub Bugz Be Gone is really soapy and slick when using a bug sponge. It’s probably worth trying but if you have dark fury you’re probably good without it.
      I work on Semi trucks often and use Bugz Be Gone All the time on fleet vehicles but I don’t see my normal passenger vehicles with that many bugs so I typically just use Dark Fury unless it’s excessively covered in bugs like on the front of Semi trucks.

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  20 днів тому +1

      Yes 1:1 and it is a great iron remover. Smells terrible like most others but very concentrated and effective. Turns very deep purple when it reacts with the iron particles like it should.
      Some other iron removers I have used do not have as much of a color reaction so I have to guess (I’m not a chemist 😅) that superior products Purple X is very concentrated compared to the ready to use stuff from everyone else.

      O no I always hear horror stories of this at different store locations. Luckily mine is pretty familiar with ordering in store and how to order online.
      In the search bar at O’Reillys website type in “SCP F78”
      SCP is Superior products Distributor code and F78 is the product code for Aqua Gloss. If you go in store you can give them that info if they are unfamiliar. It also might look up better on their end if you tell them “Cover All” but try the product codes first

      You can also talk to a local printer and have them print up some nicer vinyl stickers for you that are more waterproof. They can help with the design and sizing as well. I will be doing this soon since my original stickers faded somewhat quickly.

      I would say 2-4 weeks. Other people have told me it can last months but that hasn’t been my experience with it and I wash my personal vehicles pretty often so I’m not to concerned with durability/longevity of EZ-Shine but I do like it alot

      EZ-Shine will definitely be a good candidate for you! It is great because it is super glossy, hydrophobic, and repels dust so your vehicle will stay cleaner a little longer. I typically use it 1:1 for a quick mid week wipe down as well.

    Seems like this is more of the same only cheaper. Essentially, a lot of the products do the same thing with slight variations. Now don’t get me wrong, I like Superior Products, but like I said … more of the same just cheaper. Rinseless is the only game changing product. It replaces the need for 90% of other products. Period.

    • @jamiesdetailing
      @jamiesdetailing  20 днів тому

      I disagree on the products being just slight variations. Definitely read up on the PH scale and how acids vs alkaline vs neutral cleaners work and how they all clean differently. I do agree that rinseless is a game changer though! It is a highly versatile product but I am more efficient when using lets say an acidic cleaner on mineral based contaminants like brake dust than a neutral cleaner like OnR would. Same with organic material yes it can be done with OnR but you will be so much faster and work less with the proper cleaner

      @@jamiesdetailingBeen in the game longer than you’ve been alive. That’s not a slam against you, just a matter of fact. Experience and wisdom goes a long way … especially when it comes to using products and tools that aid you in completing your tasks. You can disagree with me all you like, that’s fine and dandy. However, results don’t lie. I have performed exhaustive research on detailing materials ranging from industrial, professional, DIY, consumer grade and pro-sumer. I’m not just pulling this stuff out of thin air. Remember when P&S Beadmaker was the cat’s meow? … and now it’s just junk? lol, it’s all relative.
      Beyond opinions, facts should reign supreme. Fact is, you don’t need 157 products that essentially do the same thing. You need only the products that serve your purpose. I’m sorry, but having 9 different soaps for every situation is just silly. Using a foam cannon in a professional environment is just nonsense. The entire point of a professional detailer is to be profitable and you can’t do that buying all the products and tools and adding ridiculous time to a job.
      Find 1 good degreaser
      Use rinseless wash

I have my degree in automotive technology from the top school in the nation and have done everything from building and painting motorcycles and cars. Everyone has their own process and I’m glad yours works for you. @@Reaper-Jimfor my business all of these products are extremely useful and bring a lot of value to me. If you don’t need the products then simply disregard them. Not everyone is going to need the same exact chemicals depending on the vehicles they see. We do everything from tractors and commercial equipment to regular daily drivers so depending on the vehicle my process always changes. I’m not going to detail a muddy dump truck the same way I am going to detail a garage kept corvette. Having different chemical options as a business will only make you faster and more efficient in my experience.
      It’s kind of like buying a specialty tool as a mechanic. Sure there might be plenty of ways to get around not needing a specialty tool, but if you are doing that job all the time why not just spend the money on the correct tool for the job that makes it way more efficient.
