The first "Dirty Harry" movie 44 magnum was a pre 1970 model 29-2 "S" prefix serial number, 6.5" barrel, blued finish with target grips, sights, hammer and trigger carried in a Clark Bucheimer shoulder holster. I just bought a 29-2 made around 1975 with all the above features except it has the N prefix serial number. The first movie came out in 1971.
In the original film script Harry carried a model 29 in 4 inch , but when they went to find one for the film only the 6.5 was available. I have read this in a few places .
No I don't have one yet, I've been trying to a 29-2 for a long time that's in good shape. I'm always liked the 44 it's a very versatile round ,you can get very light, controllable, pleasant loads to some right down smokin hot loads, a 44 magnum can take a deer with ease to putting down a charging grizzly. 44 magnum I to much for everyday carry and to much for personal protection against a human attacker, I use my 357 magnum for that.
An interesting tidbit on the Dirty Harry gun. Clint Eastwood stated that they actually wanted to use a model 29 4-in Barrel however they were not able to locate any it was only at that time that they decided to go with the 6-in. Clint said that in hindsight he thinks it turned out better that they used the 6-in. Funny how things work out.

More proof this is more proof that some people don't need high power revolvers this gun is obviously too much for this guy
You were "Triggered" by this revolver. If you believe he should not have this gun, go take it. (Pansy)
I wonder how many guns you have and how much you shoot... Just curious
This must be my lucky day...💝💝💝💝💝
You can also use 44 special to save you money but use Buffalo Bore 44 special
Every 44 special box i found was more expensive than magnums. I have enough brass now to experiment with custom loads.
Or .44 light special loads which Harry said had better control and less recoil than a .357 magnum with wadcutters, this was said to be a blooper line in Magnum Force which they reportedly let slide so they wouldn't have to re-shoot the scene over again.
You really should be wearing eye protection, especially when shooting steel.
True. I had a shard come back 25m and hit me in the eye socket. How on earth is that possible?
I have the blue 8 3/8 are you interested in a trade or selling your Cromer model 29 ?
I ended up liking this more than the blued.
What grain are these PPU rounds❓
240
@@planefun2962 They popping 💥
Obviously you weren’t listening when he mentioned the bullet weight at the 00:55 mark
@@anthonyn.3575 Thank you mom's 🤝
C'est le plus beau des 44 magnum. 😊
D'accord
Buetiful gun 😍
Preciosa arma esa me gustan pero no tengo ni una por precaución saludos a todos
Por qué no compras uno así?
Please use eye protection , I was hit with shrapnel in my ear while shooting a revolver.
Sometimes I do sometimes I don't. I grew up playing outside and climbing fences and trees and riding bicycles and skiing with absolutely no protection. That's my generation. Hard to change. I made it this far alive.
Nice gun. That's all I'm gonna say about it.
awesum gun
Do I feel lucky punk? Well, do you, Punk?
Yes. These are hard to find.
Jusf found you. SUBBED.
Tremendo revolver cañón largo se parece al del Wuason 😂🤣💥🔫
How price it
1100
You obviously can handle it ok and the more 44 mag rounds you burn up, the anticipation and hesitation disappears with familiarity. Had you shot a melon or something with with real mass, the hollow points would have really worked and got guts all over the downrange camera.
Mellon is gonna be next, then!
I have the exact same gun as new but I can't bring myself to shoot it due to the condition.
I don't get people who buy a gun, but don't shoot it. It's like having a hot gf, but you don't fk her.
Such a nice gun that you have there but you're using cheap ammo. You say you don't even really want to shoot it but yet you use cheap ammo that makes a real lot of sense there
You assume it's because value? Wow! I don't prefer to shoot it because of recoil. What is different about that ammo in function and performance? How much do you think that ammo costs?
Die Waffe von Sledge Hammer.
He had a 44?
It's not a Dirty Harry gun. The Dirty Harry one is black. This is a Showered Harry gun.
Sorry man, I was just trying to be cool. The store had the black one the day before. That's what I came to buy. Was too late. Some dude traded in this chrome one. Frankly, in retrospect, I like this one more.
Hi
S&Wコンバットマグナム44リボルバー8インチ拳銃🔫
Beautiful weapon brother I want a 44 Magnum I would like to have a 6-inch barrel blued with full under lug
Why don't you buy one? They're very available online. I just checked GunBroker.
PUT YOUR EYE PROTECTION SAD !!!
Ok Karen. No. Happy.
@@planefun2962 One ricochet and you'll be singing a different tune, jackass. Ranges have rules covering eye and hearing protection ... read them sometime.
@@bbayerit look at you insulting people! Petit dictator.
@@planefun2962 If you're going to present yourself as some kind of authority on a firearm, you should also be promoting the safety aspects which are so important to keeping the sport safe. Anything less is abhorrent. Get it?
@@bbayerit ok Karen... I guess there's a 'safety german party member from the late 30s' in every bunch. Oh, I represent myself as not an expert in anything.
Since it's stainless steel, isn't it a 629?
How much would that exact gun be worth?
It says 29-2 in the frame.
@@raparker7348it's all over the place. Whatever someone is willing to pay. I didn't offer asking price. I offered a few hundred below.
Is that not a 629 not a 29
If I said 629, I was wrong. It's a 29-2
Mcquaide lone Wolf
I have a 6" version
I got used years ago.
I think the. Sights on mine has been replaced it doesn't look right.
And when I shoot it
It slams my knuckles
Not fun
My 329PD doesn't
It is fun to shoot
Post a video
got a little punch hey lol
Just not used to it
Beautiful gun I wouldn’t want to shoot it just put it in a display case.
That's like dating a hot chick and not banging her...
@@planefun2962 LOL 😂
Yes exactly Too pretty
Lahmarschiges Video. Zu viel Dummgelaber.
Come on you need to shoot 6 shots rapid fire one handed all in a tight circle on the silhouette like Harry did on the indoor range scene in Magnum Force in front of those rookie cops, ha.. ha...I could get off watching him and the motorcycle cop "Sweet" shooting rapid fire target groups all day long. I have a model 19 .357 Magnum that I've had since 1977 that looks a lot like yours being nickel plated, 6" barrel, target hammer & trigger, target sights, and the same type of walnut grips, they are both desired collector's items and investments in this day and age worth 3 to 4 + times what they originally sold for, I'm shooting more semi-automatics nowadays but might just break mine out after watching your video for old times sake.
Shoot and enjoy those beauties! You can't take them with you.
Before you shoot mate learn your basic safety
Mate? You're probably in a country with no gun freedoms. Probably shouldn't be giving us your version if safety, which is: nobody can have guns.
Shoot 44 Special for fun Magnums bear hunting..
Yeah, I load some ... Softer
Holy shit tha'ts a cannon no a revolver
