The best team won the title when you think of attributes to win the Premier League the Manchester United 2007/08 vintage ticked all the boxes great individually, great collectively, team spirit, strength in depth you name it they had it. This was at a time when I think was the peak for English domestic football yes, the international team were a laughingstock after their failure to qualify for the Euros of that summer, but English League Football was really at its peak and it was reflected in the performances of the Premier League clubs in that season's Champions League. All 4 PL entrants United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool made it to the last 8, 3 of them made the last 4 only because Arsenal and Liverpool were drawn against each other in the last 8 if they weren't and got either Schalke or Barcelona who played each other it possibly could've been an all PL last 4 and it was an all PL Final in the shape of United v Chelsea. It proved that you had to a great side to win the title and Manchester United in 2007/08 were a great side. It was a great title race too Chelsea pushed them all the way despite most of "The Old Guard" Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba being out injured at different points of the season but they lost it in September failed to win any of the games 2 draws against Blackburn and Fulham and 2 defeats against United and Villa the latter of which saw the end of Mourinho. Also Arsenal were only 4 points down in the end having led it for so long their season fell apart after THAT game v Birmingham when Eduardo got his leg pole axed they won once v Bolton the famous come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in their next 8 games including 4 straight draws so it was a thrilling season at the top
Just classic prime Barclays. Not just the teams but some of the player names you'd hear as well, like the Kenwyne Jones' or the Matty Taylor's of the world
@@AlexBerg9471no, if Chelsea had beaten Wigan in April, they would have won the title by two points had the other results stayed the same. It was down to goal difference had these two final matches both ended in wins, until Bolton's equaliser at the end meant a two point winning margin for United.
Genuinely one of the best days of my life. May 2008 was so, so special.
I agree
Chelsea fan, so not one of my club's best days
It was also very special in May 2008 because an Emmerdale Storyline was really taking off

I'll always miss the old Man Utd team, but I also miss teams like Wigan and Bolton in the Prem. They were quite fun to watch.

of getting head?
Thanks Wigan for that draw at Stamford Bridge in stoppish time, you made us win the title ❤️
United would've won the title even if Wigan hadn't equalized because their goal difference was far superior to Chelsea's
@@classicsportclassictiyl8547 yes, but Chelsea could go on the top of the league if they won that game. But the final risult was 1-1
@Alex probably I don't remember, long time ago now.

For Scholes its a 2nd yellow, and easy, fergie pen, as always these decision needed that to win those titles...

Titles not bought on a market but conquered on the pitch, only facts, no mafia. It's not Chelsea Barcelona 2009 second leg of Uefa champions league.
Sunday 11th May 2008
Scholes should've been sent off
That was a red card for scholes.
referee again save them the title
Too bad they saved u from birth, u should've been aborted
Chelsea deserved to win premier league title in 2008
Wrong and wrong
Arsenal should of won the league that season.
No the best team always wins the league end of the table never lies in the end
arsenal were bottlers, united deserved champions that season
Not really u were always gonna lose it. Man united were better. By February u folded.
3 in a row baby, arsenal could never
Okay I'm still wondering... who is Fred54🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some guy who did actually capture the highlights and shared the video. So I am re-sharing it :)
