Pep needs to stop playing Grealish and Silva out wide. Neither of them can actually beat a defender 1v1 and constantly just pass backwards and sideways. Opponents know this and are just funneling everything inside and catching City on the counter because they have zero pace in transition. Pep needs to let Doku and Savinho actually go at defenders and stretch opposition backlines (like Savinho did on City’s goal at the very end). And City’s players need to stop this extreme possession nonsense and actually provide service to Haaland. It’s like they are intentionally going out of their way not to put the ball into him at this point when he’s clearly open.
