Hi, I have a question, I bought a car that was in an accident, when I brought it back it didn't have a sidemaker. I'm trying to restore the original. Is it a turn signal light or a regular light
@@MunkysGarage Thank you so much. Don't know if you know about bimmercode? i have 1 problem, my car has enabled us sidemaker and brightness on bimmercode. But no power on light (used multimeter). I don't know if there are other codes besides those 2 codes to turn it on (expert mode)
@@karenjackson262 I have not heard of bimmercode. I have however played around with coding certain things on this vehicle using a regular scan tool. It seems to not like being coded. I am coding things that I know have worked in the past on bmw's of this chassis design (such as E90) and it just doesn't do what you think it should do. Wondering if there are some differences in modules that truly don't allow upfitting or coding in certain things.

My rear marker broke the same exact way. Heat, tire rub, who knows. It's tight back there.

Where did you have to file out? What type of file round or flat? Did you have to do the same to the rear?
Used a flat file to open up the opening on the plastic fender so the light would fit in.

These lights are just marker lights. They do not illuminate with the turn signals.

Have you have any issues with the R56 not recognizing these LED side markers? They work, but the R56 signals bulb out…2013
Mine has been randomly showing a bulb out message since I put them in. Some days, it's fine. Other days, it's not.
I have a gen 3 f56 and they seem to be glued in
I didnt have the pins either with the 10mm bolt. Looks like glued in but couldnt figure it out...Plus the LED markers I bought seemed to be bigger
