What beautiful qaulity
mainly, before the 90s, it was acetate, and before the 50s, very flammable nitrate
I use to work as a projections for over 3 years, before digital projectors. Good memories.
Great animation of a V8!
Hi,
Thank you very much for the wonderful animated projector working principle.
We all enjoyed lot. Thanks again for your efforts.
All the best.
Best explaination ever; not to mention the animation looks grrrreat! :-)
Cinemaccanica very nice projector
This sucusesful model in india before barco digital projector.
Hi, its the Pearl & Dean fanfare opening title music. Pearl & Dean are a Cinema Advertising Company
I think it faces the screen as the base Iis more effective at transiting the light
Hi, yes it was animated using Cinema 4D
Good (job) day 🏆🎵
i had no idea they worked like that
"Years of trouble-free operation..." LOL! I see you've never serviced Cinemeccanica V-5 projectors before.
Hello Tom. I am working on a documentary film about a projectionist at the moment sand would love to get in contact with you about your excellent animation. Is there a good way to do this.
What is that little jingle at the start? around 5 seconds in.
informative....
Was this animated?
Is it still possible to see the image if the light is not flickering constantly?
It would show one frame, which would look like a still picture.
You might know this by now. I see that your post is 2 yrs old. The light needs to be interrupted between frame changes to mask the motion of the frame moving.

It would look like a horrible blurry mess, as you'd see the film moving as each frame is being pulled down.
24 images are used per second , but each image is 2 times projected .
the human eye can " see' 47 flikkers per second, but 48 will bee seen as flikkerfree.
and 24 x 2 gives 48 flikkes/images per second.
Dammit, the camera rotating around the projector made me sick.
here's a little short film I just finished working on : thread
it was the last time I threaded a 35mm projector before the theatre switched to digital projection (don't worry though, the 35mm is still there and operational).
