Greatest video ever. How it was done. Everybody one time. No mixing, everybody in studio. No auto tune, just raw music and singing. Those days are gone!!!! No body could match this now days!!!!
Did anyone else notice the 12 violins crowded into the adjoining space? It gives the song an unbelievably rich texture. Lorrie's vocal is spot-on with that country slide into the note. No second takes. Purely professional. Amazing.
Just beautiful. She puts her soul into her songs. Sounds so fine it makes me cry. And a little bit of video of the great "Sheriff" Jimmy Capps. R.I.P. Sheriff.
Wow! Lorrie can sing! And some great musicians involved. I recognized Harold Bradley, Jimmy Capps, and Louis Nunley in the backup group (former member of the Anita Kerr SIngers from the 60's). Gordon Mote is amazing on piano. I first thought it was Pig Robbins, but I was wrong.
Just close your eyes and play this again....and I will bet Patsy will ease into your mind and heart. Great job by an incredible singer and an awesome group of backup musicians.
Perfect. Somehow, we never think of how much and how many people are involved creating one song. So involved and all must be perfect with no one messing up at all. Quite amazing! Thanks for sharing.🙏
The music industry hasn't APPRECIATED this talented lady as she has deserved....... they'll never learn...... LORRIE just kills on this album...... cheers 🙃🙂😊🤗🌈🦋🐬🌟👍🤘👊🤟✌️🤙
Holy smokes that version was absolutely beautiful WOW - Lorrie Morgan is my favorite country music artist …and 2ndly I’m a huge Patsy Cline fan…I’m originally from Northern VA and grew up close to Winchester,VA where Patsy was from. Just WOW from the music to Lorrie’s voice …just beautiful!!!
Respekt vor der Leistung von allen, einfach Wunderbar und sehr Melodisch.Es ist jede Sängerin setzt ihre eigene Persönlichkeit da rein . Top gesungen! 🎉❤
I had seen this footage before and was afraid that it had been lost forever. It gives a glimpse into the vintage recording experience. It would be interesting to know what year this is.
Never before thought someone could do a Patsy Cline cover better than Patsy Cline. When she sang that second "now," I lost it. Perfect sensibilities by the musicians, marvelous vocals!
Whoa, what an incredible bunch of musicians - and Lorrie Morgan…unmatched raw talent. She talked about “TicTc Man” - I met Harold Bradley on 5/30/1987 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel - had NO idea who he was. I was in Nashville with a good friend, a beautiful woman - we were in the hotel bar. Saw this man sitting by himself, wearing a rather funny looking blazer. My friend says, “Look at that guy sitting all alone - go buy him a drink, and tell him I’d like him to come join us.” So I did - he looks at his watch, then at my lady friend who is gorgeous, and says, “I’m waiting for some guys, but OK, just for a quick drink.” Turns out it’s Harold Bradley and he’s there to play with Floyd Cramer - the Floyd Cramer Golf Classic was in progress and they were putting on a show for some of the high-rollers in attendance. He graciously. Invited us both to the show, front row, and what a show it was. I will never forget it. I had flown my friend down in a small private plane (N6756B) and before we left that show, he stopped to say “Hope you guys had a good time, pleasure meeting you. Please be careful in that little airplane, I’ve lost several friends in those things.” The next day, 5/31/1987, we departed Nashville for Cincinnati, and we were nearly killed when I flew into an embedded thunderstorm over Louisville, KY - lost nearly 5000 feet of altitude and recovered control at 1500 feet above the ground - neither of us expected to survive…only God saved us. His last words to us ran through my mind until we landed at Lunken Airport.
Folks this is great, also look up the piano player on here, Pig Robbins, he played on more hit records than anyone can count, he,s blind and imagine what he has done, hall of fame, for instance he came up with the opening of Charlie Rich,s behind closed doors, just endless songs, back to Patsy Cline, read his resume, great video.
Ya'll might like the movie "Sweet Dreams"; I bought it used last year; and it's well-acted. Thankfully, they dubbed Patsy's voice in for her songs; and her widower oversaw filming of this tragic story. I am 70, so I prefer Patsy's versions of her songs, tho I have long been a faithful fan of Keith Whitley and the lovely Lorrie Morgan; their duets are classic; and she sings like an angel, so to speak.
Greatest video ever. How it was done. Everybody one time. No mixing, everybody in studio. No auto tune, just raw music and singing. Those days are gone!!!! No body could match this now days!!!!
sorry to break it to you but there were probably many overdubs, retakes and edits. Standard procedure even then and now. Even video was lip synced.
@@hbrookes And your proof is....?
@@midtod How ‘bout it isn’t a big secret?
So good
I don't know that anyone could beat Lorrie Morgan in her prime. She is GOLD.
Did anyone else notice the 12 violins crowded into the adjoining space? It gives the song an unbelievably rich texture. Lorrie's vocal is spot-on with that country slide into the note. No second takes. Purely professional. Amazing.
I have always been a big Patsy fan but this version by Lorrie was amazing!! She has the voice of an angel!!❤
She's a big favorite of mine when country music was the best! 🌹 rosita and She's very beautiful!
And yes! The voice of an angel-- she wore her hair very short in the 90s but it only enhanced her beauty!

Her voice is gorgeous...
I could have been such a good session player. My dad played chicken pickin in the 60’s and the crowd went crazy at the grand ol op.
Patsy is smiling down after hearing Lorrie's rendition!!

That was my exact reaction. I almost didn't want to click on it. I'm glad I did.
You blasphemer!
@@dirtyscoundrel2013 I can only report what my ears hear. It is very rare for me to ever think a cover approaches the original. Lorrie Morgan is good.
