    I just wanted to let you know that if you ever get any negative feedback about homeschooling PLEASE ignore it!! I am the second oldest of five kids (the youngest are also twins) and I have seen in my own family the difference homeschooling makes. My mother made the decision before I was born to homeschool all of us and I am so glad she did. We used some of the same curriculum as you and as a child I loved it. When I was in grade 6 my father and stepmom forced my mom to put us in public school. I entered the public system with a solid homeschooling basis to go off of, but the twins started public school in grade 1. I, with the love of learning that homeschooling instils in children, did amazingly and continued to read and seek out knowledge. My sisters however, hated school and wouldn't pick up a book unless you forced them. My experience with homeschool shaped who I am today and I am so thankful for it. I am mature, independent, responsible, and accept any challenge that comes my way. I love reading and am fascinated by the world around me. I am constantly researching an learning new things. I love seeing families homeschool and it always brings a smile to my face when I am reminded of the days spent at the dinning room table with my own math u c book. On another note, what do you use for history? We used story of the world and I absolutely loved it.

    God has anointed you! You are so calm, and amazing! God obviously knew you could handle six kids in 7 years. He also knew I couldn't, because I have 3 kids, 8, almost 5, and just turned 2, and I am not anywhere near as calm as you. God bless you and your beautiful family.

    Oh my word! Thank you SO much for taking the time to do this. I have been struggling with my decision to homeschool or not, and this has made me feel so much more confident. I have four children all 5 and under (5yr old twins, 4yr old and 3yr old) and I am due to have another baby here in August. I have been back and forth with the idea of sending the twins to school after they finish up with their private pre-k, and my big hang up was whether I could manage it or not. You've opened my eyes that it is not only possible, but it is SO beneficial. You have a beautiful family! Thank you for sharing all the info. It's an overwhelming decision, but now I can see totally worth it! : )

    I did an Instagram of our first day back to homeschooling last year...Our first day always looks WAY cooler than the pjs and messy house we have on the last day of school...but I "forgot" to take those pictures! I love the "real" homeschooling vibe over the "polished" one any day...the couch is sooo much more comfortable...especially since I was 9 months pregnant. Starting our fifth year of homeschooling in August...glad to see your kids on the couch too! God bless you and your family (esp since you have TWINS!)

    You are doing an awesome job. I watched some of my dance students who were home schooled grow up to be wonderful people...full of self confidence and just all around good people. I was so envious that I was unable to be homeschooled as a child. It makes such a difference.

      Their ages are 8, 6, 5, 3, and the twins are 1. The 2 oldest have done a few months of public school, but I pulled them about before we even completed the semester. We've been homeschooling for 2 years now.

    • @SixOfOneHalfDozenOfTheOther
      @SixOfOneHalfDozenOfTheOther  10 років тому

      We don't go out a lot, honestly. We have a large backyard that the kids love to play in. And we definitely get out every few days, but with 6 kids (including twin 1 year olds) its hard to go out daily by myself. So we often wait until the evenings and go out as a family.

May Yeshuah bless you. Shalom and Peace.

    This is not a healthy way from the kids to grow up. They are being denied socialisation and the skills that come with it and they will find themselves lost in the real world. Just sad..

    • @irishpenguin13
      @irishpenguin13 9 років тому +1

      Haha! What!? So they cant interact with other children because theyre being taught at home!? How can you even make that judgement not knowing the childs background of why they're being home schooled in the first place? Some kids dont do well with socializing skills until they're in their late intermediate years, then after, they go back to public school when they're ready.
      Why are you so worried about what a parent does and what she thinks is best for her child!? I'll definately make sure to contact you to see if my child is ready to advance. I cant believe you would even hit send on your comment.

    • @WhiteMrs84
      @WhiteMrs84 9 років тому +2

      So lets see, when a kid is homeschooled then his/her socialization revolves around the socialization of the parents. The kid is not exposed in a broad range of people with different ideas.
      For example, if a kid from a Christian family is homeschooled, then he will socialize with the other Christian kids of the church. His/Her perception will be very limited. There are kids who believe that the world was created in 6 days because they were not exposed to the theory of evolution, or they were just brainwashed that it is not true.
      If you want your kids to grow up like that then go ahead and homeschool them, and deny them of a healthy socialization that would help them in their life. You are gravely hurting their future

    • @thirtysomething4532
      @thirtysomething4532 9 років тому

      Oh my goodness I'm so sick of hearing this stereotype. Most all the homeschooled children I have met were very social. Very smart, and very polite. In a public or private school the kids learn to become bullies just to survive. Is that how you want children's social skills to be like?

    • @WhiteMrs84
      @WhiteMrs84 9 років тому

      So instead of doing something to stop bullying your solution is to just take the kids from school. Doesn't make any sense
