Wonderful! What we don't see if s the incredible amount of work Mom has done to prepare the boxes, select and buy the books, the workbooks, create the day's lessons and all of the meal prep, laundry, house cleaning etc that goes into a homeschooling day like this. You deserve a lot of credit!
I just want to say you are doing a great job. I have five children and I homeschool them as well so I know what it is like. It's enjoyable and exhausting all at once. It is a beautiful gift for a mom to give of herself and sacrifce for her children in this way. So be encouraged and keep up the good work:0)
I love the laid back feel that you give; no rushing, no stressing. I went to public school K-12 and knowing my options today with online schooling I really wish I would have said something to my parents about homeschooling. You're an awesome mom :)
Nice and relaxed school day! My oldest son was picking through one of the meals i made this pass week, he was eating all the corn and moving the carrots and cauliflower to the side...lol...kids!
Leah you are doing such wonderful job. i watched this Video, I think last december. Guess what? got inspired by the cleaning up before bed, and running such a tight ship, now my schoolroom is a copy paste of yours, with the required books on the shelves, moms here think Iam a super mama too. p/s that clean up thing before bed sure does wonders to the following day. You start the day well. Thanks Leah for the inspiration. plus your kids are great. just subscibed.
nice video. You should try and make interesting things with the vegetables instead of setting a timer for them to eat the veggies it makes it like vegetables are something to rush and despise. Make smoothies, make frozen banana ice cream and sneak in some spinach. Mix orange juice with a bit of spinach juice, make carrot pancakes by mixing in some grated carrot into the batter.
I LOVE your routine of doing things. My husband and I have 2 kids; our son is 3 years old and daughter is 10 months. We are starting to look at schooling options and we are leaning more towards home schooling; your videos are very encouraging. Where do you get your school supplies from?
Such a lovely day, thanks for sharing! I always walk away from your videos inspired, my children also enjoyed this video! I want to implement workboxes into our homeschool, how did you get started?
Awe, thanks!! The workboxes are something we started last year and I just started putting 1 subject in each drawer and they work their way down. I plan to do a video soon on how we use them. Hopefully that will be more helpful!
Not sure if I would make Mason do a crossword after the look! Nice to know not every homeschool day goes as planned for others as well. We also do pj day almost every week! Thanks for the vid.
Homeschooling your children is hardwork and requires a lot of determination. However, the benefits you will reap is worth it. There are many resources out there that can guide you to success. On our channel we give steps that one needs to take to successful teach their child.
It the only way to be sure the "good stuff" gets eaten in our house. She usually doesn't give me too hard of a time about it. But it was an off day for her.
I´m thinking of moving to US . I´m 16 and since i was a little girl i dream about living there ! I love everything about America , it´s amazing :) Do you have some advices about that ? thanks, Telma ( Portugal )
Just curious, because I have the same problem sometimes, about the timer.... What happens if they don't finish by the end of the timer? Do you do an incentive if they eat it by the timer? Thanks!
I actually don't have an incentive... My kids have always been motivated by the timer alone. We use it for cleaning up too. I 'll give them x amount of minutes and it makes them move faster. If I see that they've started moving and are eating then I will keep adding time so they aren't shoving food in their mouths. lol. It is more to get them to stop pouting and start moving. So 2 minutes can quickly turn into five but as long as they are moving I am ok with that. Hope that makes sense..
yes love them :) also love your videos !! gonna be starting this August im excited about doing it just trying to figure out whats the best curriculum for a first grader :/
I have a kindergartner, 1st grader, and 2nd grader this year. You should check out my curriculum choices video. I list everything we are using. I have loved what we picked this year. If you have any questions I would be glad to help!
I noticed you do a lot of work to keep them going.. but some things kinda made me cringe. *I'm not hating it just seemed like something I wouldn't do* She gave her daughter ice cream while all the others slept.. which isn't completely fair but I can understand mother daughter things. xD but she let them sleep from like 1 to 5 which is 4 hours! Which isn't responsible because they won't go to sleep at night.. but that's just my idea. :P

The timer is very effective! Not sure what I would do without that trick! ;)
I love your day in the life videos!
Thank you!! I'm so glad to hear that!
Homeschooled kids are so much better behaved and mannered than just about anybody from a public school.
That's why I wanna tell my parents I wanna be home schooled! Plus way to much stress in public school!
ahh! i have the same exact dishes, my mom gave them to us as a house warming! lol
Haha! How funny!! We love them!
is she your eldest?
cause my oldest has problems with eating anything veggie or fruity lol
She is my oldest! LOL!! That is too funny!! She definitely has the hardest time with it. She always eats them, it just takes her FOREVER!!!

I love fish tacos! We also homeschool all hours glad I'm not alone.
You are definitely not alone! We always have great intentions on finishing before lunch, it just rarely happens.
Not sure if I would make Mason do a crossword after the look! Nice to know not every homeschool day goes as planned for others as well. We also do pj day almost every week! Thanks for the vid.
Haha!! He didn't sound too enthused did he? We probably spend 1 day a week in our pjs during the winter, but I can't pull that off in the summer. ;)
I'm going to be home schooled in a year

I love home school
Good rules
I am home educated and have been my whole life. ;)
I wish I was homeschooled I'm in year 9, UK and school is boring
When I was little they did the same to me. Eat vegetables first! Lol!
