    Recently installed the Anodizing/Ransoto slip-on exhaust on my 2015 Yamaha R3 (YZF-R3) that I purchased from Amazon for about $70 (or $40 with the credits I had :)). It's pretty cheap and affordable. This video shows what comes inside the package, how I installed it on to my motorcycle, a soundcheck of stock exhaust, with and without baffle/DB Killer and of course, me riding around town.
    I like it! It looks cool, too! Let me know in the comments what you think.

    Man I appreciate a nice and detailed video like this. Nothing goes to waste here. Thanks for the link in description. Those help a lot. I didn't know you needed a gasket for this installation, nobody ever mentioned in other videos.

      You don't that is his preference.....things like this are just slip on and snug down. He seemed over worried about a potential exhaust leak why he was checking with his hand. Most all aftermarket companies size down pipes to fit snuggly over original without a gasket. Which is why he had to widen pipe to accommodate the gasket.

      @@LoganBrinkman24 yeah it should as long as the dirtbike's exhaust pipe can accept the slip-on. So just find out the diameter of your dirtbike's pipe and compare it to the slip-on

    Good deal and not loud like some that make twins sound like crap to me. Looks good and price is right. Cannot believe some basic slip ons cost 500 up

    Most all installations don't require a gasket a simple tightening of the clamp works. Because it is a slip on there should be no loss of exhaust at the connection. If wortied about fit couple wraps of aluminum foil tape you should be good. I'd be more worried about an exhaust leak after widening pipe in order to get it to accomodate a factory mid pipe exhaust. Most aftermarket companies take things like that into consideration. You're eliminating factory exhaust so they downsize mid pipe to just snug onto standard pipe.

    I see this slipon on amazon for the 2015-2018 models....will it fit a 2019-2021 model? Also, how did you widen the mid pipe?

    • @niz2w
      @niz2w  2 роки тому +1

      The exhaust looks pretty similar between 2015-2018 and 2019-2021 models so it may fit. If anything, you will probably need a different mid-pipe to connect the factory pipe to the muffler.
      The mid pipe has relief strips that i just bent open a little bit with channel locks, put in the new exhaust gasket and clamped on to the bike's pipe.

      @@nearsite Yayyy Areaaa! This is my very first motorcycle and I installed the slip-on watching some UA-cam videos and decided to document it on my own. I think it's super easy for anyone and it's very rewarding when you got a nice finished product that you put together yourself. I installed new OEM levers too and that was super easy as well. My bike already came with a fender eliminator so I havent had to do that. Based on the ease of installation, I'd have a lot of faith you can DIY, but if not, take it to a local shop.

    Lower clamp isn’t on right, gasket goes on stock pipe first clamp should be further down on pipe it’s gonna leak or pop off

      No I didn't wrap it with exhaust wrap because the fairings weren't touching any parts of the pipe or muffler. No parts of any of my fairings were affected.

    I have a general question: I want to put a slip on exhaust (mivv GP) on my 1999 sv650s. After installing te slip on do I have retune or make adjustments to the carburator?? I don't want my bike to run lean afterwards

    • @niz2w
      @niz2w  Рік тому +1

      From what I've heard, you don't need a tune for slip-on. The slip-on really is just for sound, weight reduction and looks. The bike still had it's catalytic converter. A tune is needed more when you remove that catalytic converter or when you replace the whole exhaust system from headers to muffler. As far as the carb, I'm not sure. This bike didnt have a carb. Thanks for watching!
