Just got mine gifted to me yesterday from my father at Green Top’s Expo event this past weekend. Will run Remington’s 20ga managed recoil #3 buck with it. Awesome review and thanks for sharing!

I never have been a Shotgun Guy but I did purchase a 20 gauge Shockwave with the idea of using it for home defense here in a rural area of Florida. I really like it for self defense but I had to replace that bird head grip which was not good for my small hands, so I bought a SB Brace that also had a pistol grip and this makes it much better for me to hold and shoot! I do have to do one other thing to it so that would make it perfect for me and that is to take about 3" off the length of the Brace. This would still be legal to do and make it much easier for me to shoot! and control.
Thanks for the comment. This "firearm" is a hoot to shoot, but customizing to your personal needs is a must especially if you intend to use it for home defense. If you haven't already, I hope you'll subscribe and check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.
Be careful if u change it to a stock it becomes a short barrel shotgun which is an nfa item that requires a tax stamp. If your caught with it youll get in trouble. The only reason why this is allowed is because it has the grip and no stock so its technically not a shotgun it's a firearm
An easy remedy for the cloth hand guard chaffing is to reverse the screws so they are going the other way and it makes the cloth guard a little smaller.. I put Hogue grips on mine, and a Crimson Trace laser.. Love it.. I did have the special flashlight barrel holder thingy on the end of the magazine tube but it was to bulky then..
Thanks for watching and thanks for the suggestions. Of course, if you checked out my video on the StreamLite Racker for the Shockwave, you know I replaced the light and fore end on mine with a great solution. I enjoyed your video, but I had one question. Why did you take off the birds head grip to remove the trigger group ? I have several Mossberg pump shotguns & the trigger group comes out, w/o removing the stock. Is the birds head grip not cut out ?
I agree, it probably wasn't necessary. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment and share. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on UA-cam.

The CDM mount is exactly what I've been looking for however the manufacturer puts up a warning that it MAY not work with the Nightstick. The Nightstick is the shockwave with the wood furniture and the forend is just a bit longer than the polymer version. The 12 gauge Nightstick has been confirmed to not fit the CDM but the 20 gauge has a bit larger area from what I can tell. I wonder if you would be able to tell me if there's any wiggle room where the CDM is with the polymer forend (the pump) all the way forward. It doesn't look like you pushed it all the way up during the installation, that's why I'm asking.
Interesting question. The forend is indeed all the way forward in the video, but the Shockwave in that video is the 20 guage. There are comparison pics out there that show the 410, 20 and 12 gauge Shockwave Nightsticks side-by-side. It would appear that adding the CDM Mount would be close. If it were me and I really wanted the CDM Mount, I'd be comfortable with just grinding a bit of the wood forend off for fit. However, I abandoned the CDM and Modkin components long ago in favor of the Streamlite Racker Tactical Light System forend. Much more practical for my need for a home defense firearm. Thanks for watching and thanks for the question. Hope my response helped. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe. For all the criticism ppl have of weapon-mounted lights, I've tried lots of accessories on a variety of shotguns and the foreend with built-in light is what I settled on as the most intuitive to use and surefire way to make sure the light stays on the gun and recoil can't rattle any screws loose.

Great! I'm about to post a new video on the Shockwave tactical light solution. sorry, do you know which model of semi auto short shotgun is possible to buy in California? sorry my english i am deaf i have cochlear implant. Thank You. Mauro
As I understand it, shotguns with barrels less than 18 inches are illegal in Canada. This is not something to mess around with. If you are caught with one even a millimetre under 18 inches and you're looking at serious time in a federal penitentiary. You can check this out yourself through a simple Internet search on the subject. Thanks for watching.
Sorry, I misread your question. You are asking about California. The response is basically the same. California's minimum shotgun barrel length is 18" and the there is also a minimum overall length (OAL) of 26". I would suggest that you go to a local California big sports store like BassPro and see what they have to offer. They can't sell you anything that isn't legal and you can get an idea of what's available. Also, check out www.calguns.net/caawid/sgflowchart.pdf Hope this helps.
