1) One would have to export out all the tracks into the BigSix and back out as stereo mixdown. 2) They recorded more tracks than the BigSix could support if real-time mixing is desired.
@@DerekPower I thought, there's up to 18 inputs for mixdown. The just flip the ProTools outputs, mix and record the stereo out with the SSL comp and any outboards. To me that's the whole concept of the Big Six. Nevermind.

How would you route the channels to record a mixdown track?
Why don't you mix through the Big Six as well?
