Video is a treat to watch! I have ridden the WP&Y four times: once in 1979, twice in 1982, and once just this past May 2023. I never tire of it. One of the 1982 rides was behind #73. In fact, the BBC was filming a special on that 1982 trip behind steam. I think J.D. True was the engineer.
Great coverage! It’s crazy how much less busy the back-head of the boiler is compared to 70 at Dollywood. Does that have to do with 73 being oil fired?

There are more connections on the 73 than the 70. 70 doesn’t have the oil firing controls or a water column.
