I heard this melody and found myself in dark woods of forgotten times. Followed the tune that became a voice under the pale moon. Heard the howling of the wolves, the voices of ancient dark gods. Lost myself in timeless nothing. A great piece of art, rare and valuable like gold.
All I have to say is that this is one talented individual.

It's almost impossible to describe it using any mortal words.
Rarely have I heard an album as deep, complex and hauntingly beautiful as this. This is a true and timeless masterpiece.
This is why I enjoy classical music. you all love this as well. this isn't entirely classical, but a fair part of it is. And that's touching. it tells me classical is making a comeback.
There are also acoustic elements mixed in, which I find to be incredibly impressive work done by an already impressive musician. I'd say this album, and a few more, could be placed in a time capsule for later intelligent life forms to view as "the music of the human race." Lol

This music album is like a giant museum - a breathtaking collection of paintings by great painters throughout the history of mankind, entering which you experience pleasure from imaginative perception. Everything that is needed is present here, so that every part of the human soul is not left without attention. The author of this work is a genius!
This is incredibly rich, dense, and powerful. So much colours, so many feelings . A great fresco of nature, human emotions and imagination. A masterpiece!
For people who accidentally clicked on this video.. a fair warning .. You will be trapped in awesomeness for the next 1 hour 20 mins! This is just too much greatness in one album!
This is one of the best pieces of music I've heard in my life. It transfers from smooth young and innocent to hard battle screaming with an amazing well thought out background. This is just a star-gazing 10/10

This is one of the most beautifully crafted albums I have heard in a long time, simply amazing the total soundscapes he's creating, if I were a film maker I'd get this guy on board straight away, utter beauty mixed with brutal energy. I read he is classically trained and I get that, the clarity sound but the mix of the layers create an amazing album.
It's so hard to find music this pleasing.. One man? I've got to do a bit of research on this band.. It's hard to accept how underground it is.. I've got to buy this album in respect.. Next to Mr. Bungle's 1991 album, this may be my second favorite masterpiece I've heard.

No wonder I had such a hard time finding this album again, had liked it on a different account that I forgot about.

This is not an album. It is a symphony! That ending! wow.
I'm very afraid this music is not from Earth. This is too bewitching and marvelously crafted that I cannot imagine a real person doing this. Mind blowing is not enough to describe the mesmerizing effect this music produces.

Masterpiece. It's like you're watching an epic unfold into your mind when you listen to this album.
I don't think there'll ever be an album to top this for me. Literally has everything I could ever want in an album. Haunting melodies, organs, riffs, acoustic, chants, growls, synths. Just insane. It's the heavy metal Tubular Bells. I just can't see anyone ever creating anything as perfect as this ever again. I still listen to it all the time years after discovering it.
ever heard of "The Angelic Process"? -it's drone metal, but comparably bombast in relation to this ;)

Debatable tbh, this seems more symphonic to me.
I'd argue that Filosofem is sort of the standard for atmospheric/ambient black metal, but that's kind of a given in a sense.

mark my words...this album will be hard to even match in the upcoming years...i even dare to say (or type) that even the artist wouldnt do it...not because i dont trust this genius...is because is too much...a masterpiece in the last 10 years that i cant find an album to even be as a justified opponent...if he does overcome this greatness...it will leave us speechless...and a new kind of words must have to be invented to even dare to tag this project.

I used to listen to this in college back in 2014 and it still blows my mind and takes me away, and absolute masterpiece, to think it's all the one guy, phenomenal, I could never give this album enough praise, just utterly perfect

Greatest ABM album ever
This (awesome) album is widely available on vinyl. BUT, if you want the portability of a CD, I only found it at Aquilus's Bandcamp store. You're welcome.
I'm glad I gave this a chance. The beginning is familiar (Dimmu Borgir's Death Cult Armageddon) but it shows off its best side shortly thereafter. This is symphonic metal by way of concert piano and those who wished for more (and better) piano
after the end of Dissection's "Storm of the Light's Bane" will be rewarded.
Can't wait for their new album coming soon. But I can't stop coming back and listening to this. Still to this day one of the best albums I've heard and I've listened to an absurd amount of music over my 35 years as a bipedal creature.
In Lands of Ashes has earned its place as number 16 on my prestigious 100 greatest songs of all time list.
