I bricked the mine the same way, but I revive it putn it in MASKROM mode (ground in a specific pad for 10 seconds) then I flashed original android Rom and umbrick it, but cant install armbian any way. When put the SD card, the orange LED started blinking and none image in screen...
@@ThinkFrugal My device is tv box MXQ-PRO 4K 5G with rk3228 cpu[black box with white labels],on chip i see 3229 but in armbian config i use rk3228a with frequency of 1.4 ghz .Armbian is very slow ,no hardware gpu acceleration,i can't install mali 400 mp video drivers,and i watch in youtube only with 360p quality.I bricked the emmc device ,and i can't install Android to this device ......i booted up this armbian from microsd card and that's it...no wifi driver,i use lan cable...
@@CH10010 Thank you for the quick response. A different thing happened to me, I bricked my MXQ 4k 5g when I tried to install Armbian to its emmc. It's very hard to install a functional Armbian to these rockchip (RK322x) devices. I've done extensive research, but not have been very successful.

I download the img file of Armbian for rk3228 from official site and write the img file to microsd card with Win32DiskImager
