@Soumyo Biswas Yeah, DMC is good for show-off combos and unique stuff, but ninja gaiden enemies are the most agressive and responsive that I've ever seen in a videogame.
Ninja Gaiden II: the most insane sequel ever gameplay wise. Literally turbo charged the first game then through in any enemy or boss they could think of. One stage you’re climbing a tower in Tokyo fighting ninjas with futuristic tech, an hour later you’re fighting werewolves in a castle in Italy. You get sniped by enemies spawning in mid rope climb, bosses explode upon death and you just have to know to block or it’s a one hit kill, the framerate tanks on a regular basis and you play in slow motion because the Xbox 360 can’t keep up. On top of all that, Ryu’s pulling off crazy new techniques with like 10 different weapons, as the levels go from a place that looked halfway decent to a blood soaked wasteland of corpses, and it all ends with you basically slam dunking Satan back into Hell. At times things go great and you’re kicking ass, other times it’s like the game is laughing at your expense and just throwing everything and the kitchen sink at you. There’s really nothing like it, truly one of the best games ever made.
@@Demonicangelgaming2 Kids these days will never know what real challenges were. Games like darksouls limit your movement, you are a fktard that is heavy, clunky, and is controlled by shitty medium responsive controls that have moderate lag-time. In NG you are fast, agile and the controls are as responsive as clock-work literally the lag time comes from the control itself, and it still is hard AF. All that to say that, in NG you cannot blame the game for the controls, if you cannot beat it you just suck and need to get good.
* watching the credits after finishing the game on MN * Congratulations, you just beat Ninja Gaiden 2 Tutorial, would you like to try The Path of The God now? .... -_-
It still hears like a military formation of battle, war drums and the posaune declare a march of steel smith's weapon who entering the dark deep of chaos!
it's one of the hardest games made. takes a lot of time, but it's beatable. i quit it when i was like 10, picked it up at 17, when i was majorly into gaming, then finally beat it.
fans complained about NG2 being too hard and having too many weapons? the only thing l complained about was the spamming enemies in the more challenging modes.
Best part about this game, is when your going up the huge, long stairway and enimies start pouring out of nowhere, and the game starts to lag cause theres so many, only for you to start hack 'n' slashing your way through them.
You prefer sigma versions? *DOUBT* Sigma variation is pretty easily one of the worst ninja gaiden iterations. It does not define ninja gaiden at all, it's too *easy*.
@chhrriissss he wont be making 3 he left to create valhalla games and is working on his new mayhem of a game called devils third but dont let that deter you away from number 3 which focuses more on who ryu is, the unmasking of a legend begins in 2012.
@MaskoftheWraith Hey there, I heard something about that, they're already produce ninja gaiden 3, it should release for xbox 360 and ps3 at the same time :) but Tomonubi Itagaki doesn't help to create this game, don't know why and I'm not sure if that's even true but I read that somewhere !! I freaking love this game series RYU rules
i think coz they focused on the multiplayer all the bosses from the previous games on the ninja trials and story mode somethings never explained like the guy who cured the curse also how the little girl have the blood of godess the boss no health bar at all i miss the old ninja gaiden
@evilracer117 The other one isn't Izuna drop now, is it? Isn't that Underworld drop from the blade of the archfiend? Which involes in stabbing rather than destroying their heads. Although most weapons does have some sort of izuna drop, like flail and talons for instance.
NoobNota Underworld cuts off the head with a backflip after the landing, but yes, the landing doesn't destroy the head. And yeah, it's the blade of the archfiend
I personally liked NG1 better than NG2. The magic in NG1 was lost somewhere in NG2 I mainly think it was the story cause I think the game designers mainly counted on gameplay value rather than story. The story was okay but it didn't come close to NG1 plus most things were taken from NG1 like the ending. The CGI cutscenes should've been left in and not used as in game graphics cause the cutscenes in NG1 blew my mind!
@mortdepeur13 he means a ps3 port of the xbox game that actually has an easier difficulty but the gore was censored, but the good thing is you can shake the sixaxis controllers to make ayane, momiji, and rachel s boobs jiggle during cutscenes
@thepartyboy0103 Yeah I did mean the plot. It basically didn't feel as important when you were playing it in my opinion.Like in NG1 you killed to avenge your clan and reclame the Dark Dragon Blade and each boss battle meant something like Doku and Alma. But in NG2 it was just pretty much kill this and that fiend so you can proceed on to kill the bigger fiend. Plus I thought the fiends were finished after NG1 cause the Emperor died.
The puzzles may be hard... the first go. After you beat the game once, the two or three puzzles are just a minor nuance, nothing too hard. Now, path of the master is consistently mind-raping hard...
Well I have already played NGII and i really enjoyed it but i dnt know if it is going to be the same if there will be no cut of bodyparts and the blood will be replaced with blue goo.......
does anyone know the song after this one (in the credits) its kinda mysterious and with bells....its the one where ryu pays his respect to genshin in the ninja graveyard...
same thing with the first sigma as well... Did you know that Tomonobu Itagaki had nothing to do with the sigma games? He said the first sigma was a flawed game... Not sure what he thinks of sigma 2.. They didn't even put his name in the credits ha
does anybody know where and how i can get my hands on the complete soundtrack to this game? I mean, including the background music that varies from chapter to chapter
@JIX9ISLER1986 To be fair, I have both consoles, and I enjoy both. Currently bossing out in Dark Souls (More challenging than Sigma 2, less than NG2, but entirely different playstyle) If you haven't tried it yet, I do recommend it for PS3, as Xbox version is host to a whole plethora of problems, majority being the death of framerate whenever the player is indoors.
theotherdoomguy Try Sigma 2 on MN, the bosses are a nightmare lol. Much harder than Dark Souls. Imagine Bloodbourne's Father Gaston, underleveled, every boss. Yeah, that's about right lol
I don't know dude i liked it that they took out most of the water fights. Sure the gore was weakened but, i respected that they made it a tad easier for casual players like me.
@JIX9ISLER1986 OK, I worded that poorly. Yes Sigma 2 has a higher resolution, but at the cost of detail, and number of things on the screen. Case in point, try playing the swamp stage on both Xbox 360 and PS3. There was an entire rebalancing for Sigma 2, fewer enemies, lower detail, for the benefit of better lighting and higher resolution. This in turn, toned down the difficulty of the game, and made the game, as noted by pretty much everybody, look poorer than it's xbox counterpart.
you clearly never played the master ninja mode of ninja gaiden 2, or you will know there is nothing more satisfactory than to hear this song after a real journey in hell. black can't compare.

It wasn't really a difference in overall difficulty. Ninja Gaiden 2 shifted most of the weight of the combat system to offense, whereas the first iteration, NG NGB, Sigma, was balanced between offense and defense. You had more enemies that could have really tough defenses or be highly evasive, and you had to balance your approach. You avoided damage by knowing how and when to attack and how to use your techniques effectively. Enemies generally spawned in groups of around 3-5. In NG2, enemies spawned in MUCH greater numbers and didn't do nearly as much blocking/evading. The most effective way to avoid damage was through Obliterations which made you invulnerable, so the focus of combat shifted toward the offensive actions. For some people that was better, because that's what they wanted to focus on, and that includes the creator, who said himself that that was more along the lines of what he wanted to make. But some people really appreciated how effectively the first game implemented a complex and balanced combat system, so the second game didn't quite feel like the same thing anymore even though it was still cool. It ended up just being a matter of whether you preferred a balanced approach to action combat, or one with more focus on aggression. While trying to create a jewel of his own, the creator kind of inadvertently created a diamond of a different hue. :)
the first ninja gaiden was a little more difficult. it had more puzzles(which were too hard at times)and is much tougher, there wasn't any "auto-healing" or saving the games at the start of a boss fight.Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome game, but if you can beat NG1 or NGB, this game is too easy.ng1 had more strategy and critical thinking situations(maps, puzzles)ng II is basically one main path, just get from point A to point B
I didn't find it hard. I didn't even get the "Die 100 times" achievement after beating the game twice. Now NES and some 16-bit games... they can tare you a new one. Games just were alot harder back in the days.
I don't get us NG fans. We get NG2 and we say it was too hard and there was too many weapons, now NG3 comes out and we say it's too easy and there's not enough weapons. I am one of these people so im not hating or trollin' lol
the cool thing about Ryu is he'll take down huge scary looking enemies 3x his size and then wipe their blood off like nothing happened
