I was about 14 when Martin debuted for his club in norway and became a media sensation and I've followed his career ever since. Back then he was inspiring to me, I though it was amazing he was close to my age and he was already playing pro. I never imagined one day he'd end up playing for my very own Arsenal.
Me to, I love it. I am from a place near Drammen , Norway, I remember joking about him going to Arsenal, a friend at work, Liverpool suporter saied he would go to Liverpool long before Arsenal, and I believed him, and boy was I wrong to belive that. COYG ❤️🇳🇴🙏👍😂
That is wild..i keep thinking of zidane had so much responsibility when he was old and aging hard as a cptn. and this guy is not as though infront of the goal as him yet. but he sure can hold his team togheter better than zidane ever did at his young age. he is a pure joy to watch when he passes. out of this world.
His a gentlemen and very mature for his age. It seems his head is on his shoulders and his humble as well as extremely talented. So happy he is at The Arsenal. I prefer him as a player in every way over Özil already. Some people (Arsenal fans) seemed disappointed that we got him rather then someone like Maddison. No way! Odergaard is quality and it was a great signing.
If someone were to tell me that this little kid from Drammen would become the captain of the team that I grew up loving at the age of 23 I would have laughed myself to death.. Not laughing anymore tho. Can't tell you how proud I am of this guy!

If He had signed with Ajax, Salzburg, Bvb for example, it would have been much better. Real didn’t give him enough minutes. Today, it would probably be an established in big European clubs

Never understood the move. I remember Eriksen turning down Barcelona and other big clubs to go to Ajax. A club known for using and developing talents. Going to big clubs at and early age is such a risk. A few get through but even great players have had to move on to get playing time. I always think youngsters should go to Holland. Great plays for young players to develop 👍
He played in Holland for 2 full seasons before they loaned him out to Sociedad. And yes, that was the perfect place for him to develop. I think Madrid did a great job at that.
@@Jozua86 He was loaned out to 2 different Dutch clubs and then a Spanish club all within 3 years. Not exactly the best way to find ur footing. He never played consistently for RM so the move there didn’t turn out to be a good one. Going to a development club would have been a better choice.
