Some are useful..some are gimmicks but both will cause people to buy this drone. Just as a side note...it always makes chuckle when people are testing active track and they walk like they've just crapped themselves...trying not to lose the target...lol!
Some may say I’m nutz, but because the new update allows use of the googles with my Mini 4, I’m all in. I’m so in, I’m buying the Avata Explorer Combo. I’ve flown drones for years, but never with the googles. The Avata will be for crashing/learning, and once I become safe with the googles and controller, I will enjoy flying the mini 4 with the stick/googles. Can’t wait.
DJI also added automatic Remote ID transmission when you use the heavier plus battery making the drone weigh more than 250 grams. If you fly with the lighter battery and not the plus your drones flight telemetry and the controller location will not be transmitted with Remote ID.
Question for ya...will it in sport mode not crash into water the same way you demonstated it not crashing into the grass have you tried sport mode low flying over the water? Always enjoy your RANDOM common sense content and delivery keep it coming.
Water is a bit tricky, because the reflection can act strange with the sensors. I always keep my bird closely managed around water 💧 water and drones don’t mix. I always lean to the side of caution ⚠️ when flying over water in general.
No without bottom sensors the drone will immediately drop in to the water😮because the bottom sensors are always on even in sports mode. except for this new feature bottom sensors off turns all sensors off. Just another way to crash land😅😂
In sport mode the bottom sensors are still active, tutning the off is essential for landing on moving targets like a boat. That will not work in sport mode. Perhaps you make a test of this.
If theres one thing id like for an update, is a smoother active track, tracking a person seems to be always jittery. The video that comes out is basically unusable, when its active tracking a person, it seems to jump in and out, up and down.
Yes it does really well tracking smooth moving objects like cars, bikes, motorcycles, scooters, but for people walking its very jittery or bouncy. Almost like comparable to having a camera with no optical image stabilization, but then again im referring to how the drone flies, its like up down, up down, and side ways trying to track a person moving, unlike a car thats moving I guess its more smoother.
The footage its self almost comes out as unusable, hence most people just point to a spot somewhere and just create a poi, while a person is walking thru a scene.
I'm glad they added the vision assist feature! I used it on the Mavic 3 for Tom Scott's moontower UA-cam video, when doing a reverse shot close to the tower. I agree with you regarding the goggles feature. Also, does it even work with the goggles 2?
Sport mode turns off all sensors except the button sensor but with this feature all sensors are disabled just another way to land very quickly without needing to hold down the control stick. another way to crash land,😂😂

Yes, and I will also do a proper active track actually moving in a proper vehicle, along with the version of me looking like an idiot.
That Compass was goin' nuts at 13:24 and after. 😵💫
I noticed it too

The avata gives you amazing flight experience in manual flight. Just not as long of a flight

+@dheller777 I will
verify this fact with my resident expert friend Kai - maybe a smart battery feature?
vision assist is best for avoiding circling birds.
Not really, because the image is quite difficult to see small objects that move as fast as birds do
Vision assist does not work with moving targets it only ovoids stationary objects.😮
I got a Mini 4 a few weeks ago. I have taken many cool shots of Old Water towers.
Quite a amazing craft

@DadRandom okay got it thanks

Putting it in sport mode will not turn off landing sensors

I believe image perspective/zoom and tracking horizontally are some of the perks of vision assist.
Thanks! Always excellent content and flight advice. Jeff/Annapolis.
Thanks 🙏🏼 much appreciated
Sono più importante le luci di identificazione che dovrebbero risolvere.
I hope new users know their right from their left...
Yeah 👍🏻 merry Christmas 🎁 my friend.

I did some pretty good tracking on my bike with the air 3. You need fast and powerful drone.

Its supposed to. I wish the goggles could be used with the standard controller. It’s a gimmick to get you to buy the motion controller 2
@@DadRandom Agreed
Can you fly the Mini Pro 4 with the Googles 2 and the RC-N2 that came with it
Do you have any videos of going by water? Just bought one Just wondering what it will be like
not yet, this spring i should get footage of our waterfall during winter thaw. Should be amazing. Check out my waterfall videos
action 4 better than gopro
Sorry - i find your communication blurred and muddled in parts.
What part would that be specifically? Numerically id the muddled part for me if you would.
You are talking about the part where the DJI mic 2 was turned away from the transmitter? A a few seconds, during the tracking?
batt 3 how long is the flight time on those batteries??? I dont own a dji
Extended batteries 35-40 minutes
Youll want to turn them off to hand land
Sport mode

My theory is that if you spend a 1k on a drone with crash avoidance. You should probably use it
