I liked and subscribed days ago and watched several of your videos! Very impressive reviews of everything you have up! Thanks! Love your vibe too! I’m sold on this one it’s 749$ now preorder only. Picking this over the Bris brand. Thanks again for all you do!Im going to add a 12 hp Hangkai which I hear is more like a 10hp and just take it easy and not go full throttle. Happy Thanksgiving friend!
Nice!! This'll be a nice pair with the Hangkai as well. I have a 12hp myself too, it's a Tohatsu 9.8hp 2-stroke clone. Ever since I got the Hangkai, my 6hp Tohatsu has been collecting dust. It does need a bit of TLC prior to use but it is great. I have a few videos of the Hangkai if you'll like to see them.
@ thanks so much for the quick reply on Thanksgiving even! I’ve watched all your videos and am rewatching lots of them as I’m texting you this! I’m going to drop you a few bucks on payday!
I've owned the FCB290 for a couple of years now. It's a great little fishing raft, quite rugged. I can comfortably fit myself + my 2 sons (12 & 14) in the front when we pack lightly for a quick fishing trip out on a local creek or lake...I've even had it out on the Upper Niagara river. I use a Newport NV-series Transom-mounted electric trolling motor for propulsion...55 lbs of thrust which is sufficient for cruising rivers/lakes and getting into those hard-to-reach areas that larger boats can't get into for fishing. Expect 5-7mph on a 55 lb thrust trolling motor...on a deep cycle size 24DC battery, you'll get 6-8 hours on the battery before it needs a recharge. If I'm on my own, I'll throw the 12V deep cycle marine battery in the front and use only one of the two aluminum bench seats. If I take a passenger, I'll put the battery in the rear near the transom. It's easier to install the bench seats before the chambers are fully inflated btw. Electric motors are just easier to deal with but I wouldn't recommend it for cruising in big water where you want the raft on plane to travel longer distances. The air floor is nice...when it's fully inflated it's nice and solid, almost as solid as a wooden or fiberglass floor. The transom is definitely rugged enough for a higher HP gas outboard motor. I have a 20 ft Bayliner boat I use throughout the warm weather seasons, but this FCB290 raft is great for quick trips during the timeframe when my boat is winterized. It fits nicely in my pickup truck bed fully inflated for easy transport.
@@ErickMartinSucre As long as you're not wide-open-throttle the whole time, intermittently using the motor to cruise around smaller waterways, it'll last the whole day. Keep in mind I'm using it for fishing, not traveling so the motor spends a lot of time completely off. Never had it die on me even when I thought I was pushing the envelope. One of these days I'm going to forget to charge the battery and end up rowing my way back to the launch.
@ChrisG9978 Nice! When I first started, I had an SK396 kaboat, with a Minn Kotta 30lb thrust motor, with a small battery. I usually laster about am hour or so on the water.
@@ErickMartinSucre Makes sense...if you're going to use a trolling motor as your main source of propulsion, you want to use at least a 75Ah+ marine deep cycle battery. The one I use is a size 24 marine deep cycle, 101Ah (meaning it can run a 55 lbs thrust trolling motor at continuous wide open throttle for about 2 hrs). The drawback is the battery weighs almost as much as the entire raft, 55-60 lbs...though that's not much heavier than a 5 gallon gas tank.
@ChrisG9978 Whoa! That is one heavy battery. I've been ok with my 2 outboards so far. I use my 6hp Tohatsu when going to small rivers and such, and my 12hp Hangkai for everything else.
My cousin bought one however he actually inserted the Keel part so it glides nicely on the water. Seems like Saturn made the seams stronger as well. Probably welded instead of glued unlike the last few yrs.
@@ErickMartinSucre Oh niiice. He also said besides the seams being better, the actual pvc material is probably thicker because he hit quite a few debris in the water and it`s still stands unlike the last time. Not sure.
It's not a bad choice. It light but tough, it also has a rubber guard running on the bottom where you can place a pool noodle under the airdeck floor and make a makeshift keel. Catches plane nicely too.
Thanks man I love the channel! Really interested in one of these just nervous because I live in LA and I might be stupid enough to try to take it to Catalina…
This is the best and informative video I have ever seen , sold me just hope I
I can afford the boat.
Thank you! One is glad to be of service. This model is affordable and tough. Not a bad choice! alnk.to/7X5cnz4

@@redbustourguide That they have, together with heat-welded seams.

That's pretty good for a trolling motor. 6 hours of use is nothing to scoff at

That's a great looking 10 footer. I may get that with my epropulsion motor. Thanks for the vid!
Of course, and thanks for watching 😊

Yes, Saturn began selling heat-welded boats about 2 years ago.

@LEVIAHAN That's awesome!!
I’m kinda like it Erick 👍

If you happen to buy, and if it is not too much trouble, use my link since it helps me a lot. Thank you! alnk.to/6TAc09b
If you need help choosing a motor let me know. I have a few suggestions for it.
The EMS Navy!
How many boats have you bought?
Sk396, SD380, BB290, SK385XL and ZK380. I currently own the last 2, the rest were loaned by Boatstogo
It would be Interesting to see what would be max speed on this boat with 6hp
I already know, it's around 14mph
00:48 "fragile do not drop" 😊
All good. Fragile parts are shipped on the opening side, while the boat is at the other. I dropped it on the side of the other.
@@ErickMartinSucre of course , you know that better than anyone 👍
8:59 hangkai guy knocks the door 😂
She looks tough ....like a battle ship
Smaller scale battleship
I'll keep my eyes on this one. Do you have any dignhys with drop stitch flooring for sale?
To the best of mu understanding, they all have drop stitch flooring, with the airdeck floor.
I'll have the water review done tomorrow, and a camping trip in a few weeks
@@ErickMartinSucre I meant did you have any on hand that you wanted to get rid of?
@shindukess Oh, my bad. No, I own the SK385XL and a ZK380, the rest are loaning from boatstogo. I love my boats
Maybe it’s just me, but I did not see a place for the wheels? I apologize if I missed something.
The transom wheels?
@@ErickMartinSucre correct
@outdooradventureswithjason6275 You install then on the transom. Drill holes for the brackets to be out in place, and then the wheels.
@@ErickMartinSucre Ahh gotcha.. thank you
@outdooradventureswithjason6275 Anytime brother

Thanks for watching
Could you let us know if it handles waves better than a zk380??
I'm familiar with these so I say about the same, maybe a little better since it's a bit wider
Thanks man I love the channel! Really interested in one of these just nervous because I live in LA and I might be stupid enough to try to take it to Catalina…
Is Catalina that bad? I'm from Florida so I don't know Cali that well.
If you do buy and if you don't mind, use the link provided on the video since it helps me make more videos. Thank you so much for watching by dude.
You got it! And yes it gets up to 10ft but there’s also periodic 2-4ft days.
