after watching the 3 episodes of arcane i just want the next series happening in bilgewater. There is so much lore potential in bilgewater that doesn't matter how it's done, you know it's gonna be epic.
dude i was thinking the same thing! they have created such an amazing setting for so many cool concepts and characters, it would be so cool to see bilgewater being brought to life like they did with p+z
tahm kench, nautilus, gp, mf, tf, graves, pyke, so much story potential
The Noxus's war vs Demacia can be cool too, the death of Sion with Garen saving Jarvan, the invasion of Ionia etc

In the times where league player base has gone down the shitter, I always lean towards the lore, art, and music. The game at least deserves huge respect for that.

@@danielstain1476 Knowing RIot, they probably will just blow everything else aside from WoW out of the water ( pun intended ). The game has by far the most potential theme-wise and gameplay-wise than anything else from the past decade. Riot know what keeps people in, trust me and literally everyone else that's had League for over a year.

Early game sounds like you're in the slums skulking about, mid game sounds like you're working at the Slaughterdocks, and Late game sounds like you're in a big ship to ship battle out at sea
100% This soundtrack is 18 minutes long but feels so dynamic
5 years later and this is still their best theme once i press play i have to listen to the whole thing

I can't believe they made a one and half minute long win/lose screen sound. Now it leaves the match after 5 seconds in win/lose screen. We were enjoying league back then, now we are just grinding it.

It's music like this I'd love to see a behind the scenes of the orchestra/choir actually doing this, especially the victory songs with all the cheering.
Boi did I got used to it again quickly...Feels good to have the good old bridge back....although it kinda sucks not hearing Gangplank and hearing Pyke instead, but the event is still as awesome as it could ever be.

This was one of the best event in league history along with star Guardian theme and gamemode. I'd love them both back...
It's not even nostalgia that hits so hard, the track itself is damn near perfection, leagues ( pun intended) better than the KDA stuff and newer champion themes, both of those, mind you, are also great pieces of music, but nothing compared to this
The late game music is insane, how it begins, how it ends, it's just perfect imo. Others are very good too but I pref late game. This event was insane. It was 5 years ago if I reckon and im happy I was there at the time, got 3 unique icons and Captain Gp. Sorry for bad English, im French.

I always thought Gragas would fit better in Bilgewater than running around the borders of the Freljord, with his new story of finding exotic and exquisite spices only to be met with ruffians, liars and thieves imagine the shenanigans he'd be going through in Bilgewater! @@agengcahyono2178 Freljord is a nice region, it's just that it's overall architecture isn't that attractive - it's in the mountains, at the top. It's really not all that mindblowing. Bilgewater has some insane architecture - huge buildings, houses in docks and on bridges, mostly made out of wrecked ships, where there are no laws.
Yes, Freljord does have gods and interesting characters, but the overall land doesn't feel like it is as mindblowing.

I was there, when the black market brawlers game mode was released and there was the butcher's bridge and they disabled Gangplank because of the rework and because mf sank his ship and then they made him a mini visual rework of the rework

ha the nostalgic times were my friends and i played this map and had a BLAST of fun. Themed maps like this make way more fun then normal Bilgewater is the best place for dinking, bashing and having fun.

Just putting this comment here so I can write down some neat details in the artwork:
The wooden poles onto which you tie ships on look very similar to Tahm Kench
Sharks are waiting for food IN THE BAY
some of the houses where the caught fish monsters are being dragged probably have the token of their biggest catch on display (big horns, big jaws)
one house in the upper part of the artwork has a literal upside down viking ship as its roof
all the houses next to the bay have a very similar method of dragging the big fish into their hangars (just a cool continuity detail)
some of the houses have what appear to be parts of ships as parts of their design
it looks like the separate fish houses go from left to right from poorest to richest, at least it looks like it
Im so sad, I left league right before this event and now that I came back I wish I could try it, but I guess I'll never play in this map ever... i guess its stored in the bin

be me, dude dm'ing a campaign on 5e with some friends, one wanted to play a pirate captain and everyone jumped on the idea, fast-forward, they were pretty much followed by 3 warships, the party being in a merchant ship they stoled to escape from the island they were imprisoned, they sail into a storm, with a big fucking swirl in the distance, the ship already took a few hits and they were severely lacking in crew... i played this the entire time, at 13:30 i tell the Captain PC ¨to roll for navegation while being shot, in the middle of a storm, while facing a whirl... he yells ¨ *RECKLESS STUPIDITY HAS BROUGHT US TO THIS SEA, RECKLESS STUPIDITY CAN TAKE US OUT* ¨
13:50 starts, the party starts to stomp both the table and the floor while singing... The hype was too strong.
Came back to this after i started playing sea of thieves.
