Thanks for sharing your times :-) You're pretty solid for someone three months into this. Yep there are days we don't perform at the best, especially with sprinting that demands 100% all-out effort. While doing hurdles and skips, you can chime in track-specific music. It will help you greatly with engagement in the video I believe 😄 Congrats on your improvement 😁
@ this happens commonly, but people usually get discouraged after awhile in this sport. please don’t if you ever feel that temptation. 14.6 is a good time, In my friend group of 10 of 17 yr old males. you are prolly faster than at least 6. So keep grinding.
Best way to test is during competition, but I suggest you to try out measuring your times using video footage. If you have a camera man then he can film you from start to finish line. Then you go into edit mode and check exactly the frame and time when you started, then check the end frame time when you crossed the finish line and calculate the time between the start and end which is your pure running time. Then you can add 0,24 seconds as a normal reaction time and you are pretty close to official race timing :) . I once ran 100m with official timing and later checked back the video. This method proved to be really accurate and eliminates all errors and reaction time issues of the person starting and ending stopwatch. I'm also sprinting for my own joy and health benefits, but I'm still competitive to know what my time really is.
@@asaprocky8704 maps.app.goo.gl/YL8Ng1kU8GGHTq5A7 This is open stadium in Vake, there is a running track (one lap 400 if not mistaken) it's a little bit hard but otherwise it's and okay option 🙌
It's a good question. Obviously when you lean or fall forward, your head gets further than torso. The most important is when you approach the finish line, ideally you don't want to break your top speed mechanics anytime right before the finish line. The sprinter with good mechanics vs the one who starts leaning/collapsing way to early, the first one will always win (obviously when they run sidetoside close to each other). I'm still working on holding my top speed efficiently so in practice I'm not the one who can really show you how to do it yet but I suggest you to do a little research about it to get the accurate answers you want 🙌
How frequently do you test this 100m and 60m?? Testing often is generally not preferred. If you want to get faster you have to improve your maxV(top speed)thats the phase where you gonna spend lot of time in the race whether 60m or especially 100m. If you want big improvements I think spending more days on maxV(20m flys) sessions will give you best improvements. Acceleration can be improved in a single block of training where as top speed improvements take multiple blocks. Run multiple blocks(2-3 months) of 2-3 maxv sessions per week depending on tolerance of body followed by a mini acceleration block 2-3 weeks and test it out after a week of deload(relative rest).
Thank you for sharing your perspective 🙌 I'm planning to make a video regarding it, to explain what is my plan righ now but I will write it in short here too. One good sprinter fellow of mine is helping me with structuring my own plan, I'm a trainer myself so I also have quite good understanding how human body mechanics work. Shortly saying with his guidance we put a program where the first phase is "to learn how to sprint" which consists alot of technique carving + accelerating power training, both to teach my body the form and gradually increase the power/speed at the same time which definitely worked in the range of almost 4 month now. We do micro cycles (usually 3 weeks) for 2 main reasons - first is that in the beginning the times are improving much faster and second is that we observe flaws and correct them sooner than later, also personally for me I'm not really focusing on times so even when there are some "bad days", I don't get frustrated over times, it's just not my personality, quite opposite I like to observe my body behavior and conditions in different circumstances and make some analysis about (I agree that some people can get to obsessed with times which will lead to future inevitable frustrations and essentially to quitting, but that's just not me). As you mentioned flying 20s are helping on improving top speed, I completely agree, if you watch my other videos, 20-30s is mostly what I'm practicing right now. My body still has a potential to improve power/speed just via improving technique, push power etc. Once it all fits in, the program will change to larger cycles, some gym training will be implemented etc. Thank you again for your comment 🙌 I think it's very helpful not only for me but also for others who read comments like yours and get some good tips on how to sprint faster🙏 Take care and you have awesome day🙌
@RedHeadsDiaries I can really see your passion here this essay is running marathon. I usually don't comment nor give any advice thought of putting disclaimer just my opinion. I saw your other 100m testing appear on my feed in the past some 15s I guess. Then again this video on my feed.So I had to write something if no one does. Some people take it negatively when you give advice. I'm still learning I know a thing or two but a lot to learn, some mistakes take you to practice often to understand. Hope I don't get any testing videos in my feed. Probably to do with the algorithm and captions you put.
Hmm it's interesting, honestly I don't know the reason why testing videos appear on your feed. Anyways your comment is valuable and it's an open space and everyone is free to share their advice, oppion, support or criticism preferably in adequate manner. I'm learning same as you and many other people and it's wonderful to exchange point of views and different information as long as it's respectful 🙌

Awesome. Great time. and mustache man with apple is not a bad cameraman.
He definitely knows what he's doing 😁
Nice video, every day stronger! For the next video you could make an alternative training giving a piggyback ride to the guy in the video :)
@@avatexx 😁 I think I should start from somethingeasierthan piggyback ride, he weights more than my PB on the barbell half squats 😁

Consistency is the key with training, and the times will come. Another nice video 👍

Nice work.hope to see you compete in the near future.
14.67 seconds is really good, especially for someone who just started a couple months ago.
I guess the training plan and work put into it is gradually paying off 😁

next time: cameraman vs Diana!!
