Hi, I was wondering if I were to play a dvd with an encoded full screen (4:3) screen ratio, would the player automatically have the picture stretch out to a widescreen (16:9) format? And if so, would I have to manually go into the picture settings to rectify the problem (switching between 4:3 and 16:9)? In the last two region free players I’ve purchased, I’ve constantly had to do this and it’s become an annoyance imo.
The LG I recived said to Turn on player, wait for home screen and pick 1, 2 or 3 which you then press. Insert disc and press play! Bull dodo! LG is run by idiots! Thank god I’ve found you on UA-cam!

This fix isn't working for me....I have a LG DP132H DVD player and it was advertised on Amazon as "multi-region" but the box says Region 1....I need to play Region 2 DVDs....but on my LG DVD remote control, there is no "ok" button and you have an "ok" in your instructions...."Pause, 3141590, ok, Pause". Courtney Chanel Clinton The last digit is the region code. Just change it to your region code. In the video it was 0, so just change the 0 to the region code printed at the back of your DVD player.
When I get out the disc it shows NO Disc and I can't do any thing. Any other way? to fix the problem. And there is no regional code on the back of the DVD player

Hi all, Hopefully someone can assist.... Trying to get the hack to work with a lg dp522h - but doesn't appear to want to work. I press the buttons the the sequence advised (I'm assuming that OK is actually ENTER as there is no OK button on the remote), but nothing appears on the screen to change the regions code. The player I have is the LG DP132 from January 2018. Anyways, I put the disk in my computer and a screen came up right away where I could pick the region. This menu allows you to press "Enter" to select either Movie, Photo, Music, or Settings. I need to keep the screen which says "No Disc" for more than one second if I'm going to change the Region Code on my DVD Player. Do you have any advice?

There is no OK button on the remote though.
Even when you do it we don't see you press an OK button.

'SELECT' is the same as 'OK'. Its in the center of the Up, Down, Left and Right arrow buttons in the center of the remote.

How change the aspect ratio? The player stretch the 4:3 shows in order to fill the entire screen...and the view mode on 16:9 aspect is grayed out.
