Fun Fact: Tanaka is the only player who has been in every match and always on the court. He's a starter, never subbed out, very consistent, never ditched practice or anything. Even the 3rd years haven't been so present (Daichi was injured, Asahi skipped, and Suga was benched) for the games.

Also those matches aren't very good adaptesd, for me, they are important to watch but they cut to mich from the manga, I strongly recommend that you read at least those matches and, it would be great if you also read what was made a movie and all that comes after, the movie is great but they cut too many amazing parts, and the last movie will be worse, so I really really recommend it.

I've had so much fun re-watching Haikyuu with you three, and seeing you lock in with our boys (and the many other cool charactesr not on our team). And Rise, your stunned/confused silence when our boys won actually added to the reaction for me! It was fun watching your realization kick in as the other characters began to cheer, because it felt like the PLAYERS' reaction - like all of our boys were also stunned and holding their breaths like they needed a few seconds for their win to fully process, so for me it's like you were just as involved as Maya and YZ, just in a different way. Never apologize for genuine reactions!! S3 is my absolute favorite personally (especially that opening!), but I still love S4! Some awesome character growth, new characters, and of course volleyball moments! And yes, please do react to the OVAs before S4, it'll show the Tokyo prefecture competition (Nekoma and Fukurodani matches). Since Tokyo is so large and they're hosting the Spring Tournament, they have 3 teams that make it, instead of how in Karasuno's area only one team could qualify.

There's a theory about the scene where Hinata and Tsuki are being crushed by Ushijima: You can see 5 out of the 6 players on the court in this scene with 3 of them trying to help their first years against the powerhouse that is Ushijima: Daichi, Asahi and Tanaka With their combined power they are able to let them free But where is Kageyama ? Kageyama isn't portrayed in this mental image. The reason behind that might be because Kageyama is the only player on Karasuno' side that can stand his ground with a top star player like Ushijima, that is why he isn't portrayed struggling here If you think about it, Kageyama switched with Hinata because he strongly believed that Ushijima could come around the block with a cross shot and would utterly beat Karasuno for the point if it was aimed at Hinata He gambled a straight line shot on Hinata over a wild cross shot that could go anywhere on the other side of the court And that shows how thoughtful, methodical and skillfull he is for being able to anticipate that move
Ushijima's pressure at the end is a metaphor for the mental landscape, so Kageyama says that the only person he's scared of is Mr. Oikawa, which is why Kageyama doesn't feel Ushijima's pressure, so he doesn't participate in that mental landscape.
Another great season come and gone. It's hard to believe the series is almost over, I'm really going to miss it.
