Bro watching this in cinemas was a whole different experience. Like every ball slam and sound effect just hit so much harder which I didnt think it was possible. I fully wanted to scream between certain points cos it was just that hype. Honestly at some point I wish everyone could experience that cos its a whole different feeling

And in the end, Kenma is taken down by his mortal enemy: Sweat. 😆 Most games, Karasuno shakes hands with the other team and then they each go off to their own side, maybe one or two come back to say something, but that's it. This game, after the handshake Karasuno and Nekoma are all over the entire court intermingled, like they're one big team. It's like it's beyond rivalry and into brotherhood. Love that. 🥲

I think the thing is like when you look at the U20 game specifically its hard to see a lot of what Isagi did throughout the match and idk you could say its purposeful in that regard because thats what his playstyle is at this point. But you kinda gotta think about it like this, just as Isagi couldn't have done ANY of that without the players around him, Rin would never have reached the level he got to in this match without Isagi. As a striker Isagi didn't do a lot in this game until towards the end of the game but as an actual player/playmaker he went crazy. He was the only person that could really keep up with Rin pretty much and acted as the bridge between most other players in the offence allowing for the crazy opportunities that the others had. e.g. nagis, rins and barous goal. Everything that happened around Isagi was pretty well foreshadowed by Rin and Ego, including the luck piece which was talked about in the previous season where rin said the difference between him and Isagi was that he put himself in the position to be lucky. Now the tables turned and Isagi done it to him. I think its just hard to see it sometimes cos Rin has clearly been shown to be an insane player from the start so it almost doesn't feel right. Also Ego explicitly says that Isagi is the key to Rins awakening so again the field was literally revolving around Isagi in some way as he was the centre of a lot of the plays. In this point in time it wouldn't really make sense if Isagi could take everyone the way some of the others did 1 on 1 cos his specs aren't comparable to them really he just isn't as good but its his ability to read the game and everything that allows him to stand on the same ground as the rest. Its easy to see the goal as underwhelming in a way and tbh yall are valid for thinking that but in terms of his progression this makes the most sense. I hope that clears up some of the problems yall may have had. edit: just wanna say I fully get where YZ and Rise are coming from but just tryna offer the other perspective is all. Then again I am biased to Isagi anyways cos I can like always see the potential in his typa character plus I read the manga too so there's a lotta bias on my side but tryna remove that as much as I can when I explain all this. But regardless love the reactions and yalls thoughts on everything!

the whole game revolved around isagi if you didn't notice. From start to finish, he was present in every play, he just didn't score more than one goal because aiku was marking him the entire game, and when he had the opportunity, he scored. This is what a striker should do, and he has a lot of credibility to say that he will lead Japan to World Cup glory, as he surpassed even Rin, reading the entire play since Sae Itoshi touched the ball

Isagi was the one allowing everyone else do their thing. The runs and where he would position himself opened up a lot for the team.
