By the pictures it looks almost like they were trying to get landmarks for if they got lost or maybe trying to use the cameras flash as a light source (if the phone is old enough to not have a flashlight app)
This story was pretty confusing but i think everyone can undoubtedly agree that foul play was indeed involved and you'd be pretty naive to not think so..bleached bones and the placed bag 5 miles away thats obvious...
No Everyone can't agree. Only those toying with things they don't understand. This is the clearest case of unprepared hikers going into the woods and getting hurt, lost or both and never returning. Only conspiracy theorist believe it was foul play get it right.

@@trentonsellers7600 I did. The big giveaway was the bleached bones.
I just assumed that they dropped the bag out of exhaustion and that the bleached bones were just from them being in the sun. But I still think it's weird.
What frustrates me is that they actually hired a tour guy to take them around on the April 2nd. I have no idea why they could not wait a day longer and decided to go by themselves the day before.
4= 1 hurt + 1 stays w/ injured + 2 go for help. That way if one of them get hurt, there's still a chance to get help.
Hey, I love your videos and how you two discuss these things and say what you think. Another channel dealing with stuff similar to mrballen that I love is lorelodge. I highly recommend them for reactions. They are longer videos but he’s very good, goes in depth, and gives the history in the area covered in the video and he mainly deals with missing people and missing 411 cases. He also has some more about mythical creatures if you’re interested.
I also recommend the wendigoon video on the yuba county five. That case is so bizarre and really sad.

For some reason I think it was whoever they was in the hostel with or it was the person running the hostel seeing how they know to use a computer to delete pics and the fact that there is 3 other people that are dead makes me think it’s the owner of the hostel
It had nothing to do with the hostel, these girls was just very unfortunate, unskilled, and unprepared, case closed.
I think they could be the 1s taking the photos. Using the flash since i guess they didn't wanna use their phone to save up energy. Then the girl's bleeding could be one of the girls taking a photo of it to find out how bad the wound was. That deleted photo might have been of a 3rd party who caught up to them and killed the girls or whatever happened
So instead of believing that they were two unfortunate and unprepared souls you rather have the evidence in front of you, take that evidence and add a 3rd party to it for no reason at all? I'm so glad the true crime community seldom solves crimes but im started to see why because of uneducated guesses and lack of reasoning.

There are too many variables in this story like did yhe police talk to anyone after the bones where found. There sre a lot of animals in the jungle for none of them to take a bite.
I think the landscape at night pictures would be to use as a form of light since they either didn’t want to waste battery life on their phones. Also, it has to be a third party because it makes no sense how an accident could have caused their clothes to be perfectly folded or the backpack contents to be neatly positioned inside especially if they were desperately lost. Why would the camera be inside the bag if they are using as a form of light?
I'm wondering if the dog wasn't sent with them so somebody could track them using it.
What if they had a guide and the hostel is lieing or they didnt know about it maybe someone who was staying their.
Why would they?
They could have died and someone found their remains and did some kind of ritual they have done before . Maybe they sent the dog back to get help and they were taking those pictures to create a trail so they would know if they were going in circles or for someone to find and help locate them.

I think what Kidd mean was, "Is there a native tribes around the area?" It could be, I thought the same thing too. But when it goes to permanently deleted pictures in a camera, could they have the technology to do that? I was confused too.
The story was not really that details here. Somethings off. Even Mr.Ballen felt kinda off. He usually deliver the story smoothly, but this one, he's a bit sturtered. 😅
