40 Knots absolutely deserves the attention it’s getting at the moment. Over the past few years it has become a warm weather special occasion fragrance for me.
@@31eo7 why are you baiting? Get a life.
@@rjb8454🤔
naw
It basically smells like ambre nuit which I wouldn’t wear in warm weather
@@rolfrau5743 less is more; it’s definitely not a fragrance you’d want to overspray.
You should continue the series. Both the hyped and overhyped fragrances.
Will do!
Reflection Man is easilyyyy my most worn fragrance of all time. I adore it for all the same reasons you stated in this video. And Ganymede ❤❤❤
Those are both in my top 10 deciding between the two is hard though.
Smells like a overprice joop homme ad JPG le Male mix.
I smiled Desirtoxic Intense and enjoyed it. Would like to see how the regular compares. Agreed on your comments on 40 knots. Not at all what I expected and it took me a wearing to get on the same page, but I genuinely love it in the air. Getting a wiff on myself through the day makes me smile.
I kept going back and forth on if I wanted Reflection Man.
After a decant I still couldn't decided if I just liked it, and I try to avoid buying thing s I just like and don't love.
Eventually I got a decant of Dia Man from a friend's recommendation when I was hunting for a masculine peony fragrance and right away knew it was the first Amouage I wanted!
It's very subtle, not loud at all, which many Amouage fans dislike, but perfect for me. Lightly sweet, lightly floral, lightly spicy, lightly smoky. Little hype though, but that can be a good thing.
"Fragrances that changed the course of my journey!" seems like a cool topic! When you said Ganymede did that for you, sounded like a cool video Idea, would love to hear more about scents that did this for you!
I actually did this video last year, but regrettably forgot to include Ganymede I believe:

@@stayfreshproductions Loved it!
Love 40 Knots bought a sample and wore it in the Domican on my way back to Airport my driver who's a woman texted me and Said I love your smell. I'm sold got it in my Cart on Jomashop. You have to wear it with confidence and style.
I just got my first Amouage. Lyric is stunning. I can barely identify the notes it is so well blended. A creamy rose is what I get.
I really like 40 Knots. I really enjoy. I wear it mostly in fall and winter and spring. Smells great with strong performance.
Right on, I never smelled Reflection Man until going into NM. The lady said put it on your skin. I was sold at first sniff!
40 knots is one of my favorites!
I don’t know why but I like papilefiko more than Desirtoxic
It's fantastic
Desire Toxic was so bad. I sold it the next day.
Ganymede is simply a must in any collection. Amazing!!!
40 Knots definitely gives be luxury vibes!
Reflection man is the type of fragrance that can bring back bad memories but you still wear it for the smell.
Love the video Justin! Recently I tried layering Aventus and original Santal and was blown away! Maybe that could be a video idea just talking about layering fragrances and some maybe you tried!
That opening edit had me rolling JC. Just about fell out my chair.
I appreciate the humor
I bought Ganymede blind for about a year ago bcse of your videos. Huge success man 🎉
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
Couldn't agree more with Ganymede being compared to the interior of a new luxury car, My daily driver!
Tuscan Leather was an ingenious crafty creation...Great content Justin 👍👍
Great review as always. Very informative. Also love the way you expose small niche brands not just the powerhouses. A fragrance is all about feel. Most of the time I don't care if anyone else can smell me. Love from London 🙏🏿
I appreciate that!
Everyone talks about how good 40 Knots smells but I can't get on board with it. I tested it several times and I get this piss smell off my skin. On the other hand, I really love Torino 21 from the house.
I understand, it's a strange one.
@@stayfreshproductions yeah, like you said JC, you either love it or hate it. I really gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it multiple times but just couldn't stand the smell off my skin. But I also understand everyone's skin chemistry and taste is different.
Keep up the great content my G! 👍🏽
I had a sample of 40 Knots and my notes were sweet, clean, floral, with cinnamon. I thought it was nice, but not sure if it is full bottle worthy for me. Bought Torino 21. Love it.
I would love a part two to this video... But question: will you do a video for autumn fragrances you're looking forward to wearing or trying?
I’ll most likely do that in some way!
The best perfume reviewer influencer or whatever….congrats man 👍🏻😎
Thank you 🙏🏾
Reflection Man was my 1st ever cologne. I j7st bought 40 knots earlier this summer. I love how they make me feel. I have been on the fence about Tuscan leather, only because I live in a claimant that has 300 day of 85-100 degree and high humidity, and it can be a bit challenging... but I am contemplating it.
Ganymeade IMO is a masterpiece fragrance. It smells extremely elegant, classy, unique, but still very likeable. I feel comfortable only wearing it to special occasions like weddings etc.
Tuscan Leather is amazing. Definitely lives up to the hype. People say it is reformulated but I think it's all for the better as they say it less potent now. Amazing perfume very unique the number of niche dupes like London by Widian are proof of that. I agree with your take. You don't wear this for others and those who get it get it.
Reflection man my fav fragrance....NO1
Ganymede is a trip. I actually like it more as a room spray. I just spray a strip and it fills the room. I can’t wear it unless I know I’m taking a shower within 5 hours because it doesn’t stop. But as a room fragrance, it’s incredible.
You’re welcome when you try Megamare and Terroni 😅
Great choices mate. I see a lot has changed im "fragcomm" but my OGs such as you are thebonly peoplworth listening to. I have Reflection, Ganymede and 40 knots. All killer.
Thank you 🙏🏾
40 knots is insanely good. It's in my top 5, and I own 100+ fragrances
I'd love more from both series. And you're right about 40 Knotts, it's amazing. The other from Xerjoff I picked up this summer and have worn a lot, is Decas. And I notice the Lineage bottle on your shelf. I remember you were on the fence with it when you did an Amouage video, I picked it up about a month and a half ago and I've had 5 full wears of it. I absolutely love it, although I can see it might not be for everyone.
Lineage is wonderful! I just have to be in the mood for it.
@@stayfreshproductions I'm glad you like it. It uses fenugreek which is also found in one of my favorite Japanese incense, Reiryo Koh, which is burned in temples. Maybe that's why I took to it immediately.
Reflection Man is a classic for a real gentleman 🤵🏾♂️.
I would love to see a video "Reflection Man VS Ambre des Abysses from Houbigant"
Man he wasn't lying about Ganymede not being for everyone. I got 11 high-end niche samples in the mail today and Ganymede was the only one I had to scrub off. Hated it.
I love Xerjoff 40 Knots
I don't understand why people call Ganymede a fresh fragrance
How do you describe it
Going through my third bottle of Tuscan Leather and I’ve only recently learned that some people do not like it, which I can not understand.
Desirtoxic is very alluring. Get it before everyone and their dad is wearing it.
I don’t know how to explain 40 knots but it’s super addictive to me.
I think this channel turned me into a niche snob because many of these I own. 😂 Best thing to ever happen to my collection (I own them all) 😅
Haha love it!
In a previous video you had mentioned Goldfield &Banks Ingenious Ginger I bought a 1.7fl.oz and I am half way through the bottle I am going to purchase a bigger bottle thanks for mentioning it Justin also Ganymede I didn't like it at first weird but it has grown on me thanks for listening to me Justin God bless ✌🏾
I'm so glad!
I still can't get with Reflection Man or 40 Knots, but I can appreciate the love for them. I have samples and I keep checking in with them occasionally, but too orris powdery for me. But after sampling Ganymede and Desirtoxic I could not rush to buy full bottles fast enough. All in all though a great list!
Thank you for watching!
100% agreed about 40 Knots ... on paper was boring and for me nothing special, but on my skin wooow... very nice fragrance.
Ganymede is my 10/10 fragrance even if its polarizing as its a masterpiece and somehow i can wear it with ease yet is very much a consideration even for dressed up occassions. Yes, this was your 1st recommendation from you which i blind bought and ive been a follower and believer ever since. Great list JC.
Love it!!
Facts about 40 knots & Ganymede
40 knots is my favorite for a long time. Reflection way is on the way :)
Reflection Man is amazing and also quite expensive
Reflection 45 Man is even more expensive
What a great list. Not a list for everyone that's for sure. But a list to try cause you might just fall in love.
Reflection Man is my favorite of the house. The closest thing on this list that's mass appealing.
Ganymede is so different and interesting yet not complicated or challenging
40 knots off my skin is a powder nuclear warhead. But off my clothes it's as you described.
Lastly I had a bottle of Desir toxic and liked it but didn't love it. So I traded it away and then got the intense flanker. It's better to me. Maybe the mint adds a layer my nose was missing.
Thanks for watching! Glad you like the mint in the L'Intense.
Love "Reflection Man". One of the greatest smell goods ever made.
Reflection man was my first from Amouage and the one I love the most. It’s such a boss fragrance. Grown up but far from stuffy. Tuscan leather remains in my collection. I’m on my second bottle. That’s my go to night out in the fall and winter. That one although weird like you said, was love at first sniff and I loved it so much I paid full retail. Rookie mistake 😂😂 but that was before I started following content like yours. Now I know better 😂
Haha! Im glad you enjoy them!
I wore Beach Hut 2 days ago to work. I bought it in the pandemic and hadn't worn it because it wasn't at all what I expected with the name. Maybe it's macerated, maybe my nose has matured or both. I like it but dont love it yet. Hopefully, that changes in the future. Its another fragerence I almost expected to see.
I can see you continuing to like it more!
Very nicely done! ✅
Hello Justin, have you tried Paco Rabanne - Pour Homme?
If not - get it. It is not expensive and pure quality.
You get chest hair just by wearing it.
Bruh you've mastered dry humour the opening was brilliant
Haha thank you
40 knots....love it.
Ganymeade is a weird one to me. I bought a sample. Brought it to work. Sprayed it on my arm, and there was nothing. Like BR540, and Another 13, it was like I sprayed water on my skin. There simply was no reaction on my skin. But two of my co-workers said it smelled amazing. I still haven't decided if I should at least invest in a decant.
If you’re curious about it, maybe a decant is worth it!
Tuscan leather smells like sitting on a smoking allowed room, wearing a vintage leather jacket, while being close to someone drinking a Cosmopolitan.
Good stuff!
You’re videos are so cool ❤
Thank you!
I’d love to see another “worth the hype” video.
Super Nova by Gritti is very similar to Ganymede. I wonder what you would think about it!
It wouldn't be bad to see a list of "fragrances that changed your life / changed the course of fragrance journey" as you described Ganyemede.
I did a video like this last year, but regrettably forgot to include Ganymede for some reason.
ua-cam.com/video/rO-Pxpna5yM/v-deo.html
@@stayfreshproductions Thank you for sharing the link!! Will definitely watch it.
I’m still not sure about 40 knots. I don’t like it, but I can’t stop trying to figure it out. It’s kind of a puzzle I want to solve. Anybody else relate?
40 knots and Reflection Man are crazy underrated. They have outstanding quality, versatility, and performance. If you can find them for under 300, it’s a steal, no brainer
Is that performance based on current formulations of Reflection Man?
I don’t know if I’d call them underrated, but they are incredible scents!
@@Sean-fu3oi my 2022 batch bottle lasts 12+ hours with medium projection for three sprays
@@heinmonaung8240 thank you for the info. 👍
I’m considering buying Reflection Man as I own a sample and love it but I heard the current formulation is no where near as good as the original should I buy something else unless I find an original or should I buy a new one anyways? Thanks
I wouldn’t go through the trouble of overpaying for an older bottle. Just maybe get one from one of the discount websites because you might have a better chance of it not being the brand newest formulation. Even if it is, I’m sure it’s still good
@@stayfreshproductions ok thank you so much for responding! I’ll be taking your advice
I really liked this topic. Give us more or else. 😎
😆
Don't you think that DeserToxic Intence is very similar to Dior Savage Elixir? I applied both of them on my hands and I definitely felt some difference but the are very same. I wander if I need to buy DeserToxic if I have Savage... Hope for your advice
I don’t find them very similar
I agree with everything you said
Almost 2k away 🙌🙌🙌
🙏🏾
Does anyone know how the current Reflection Man formulations perform? Still worth picking up?
Is that a 50ml of reflection man? Never seen one and they are nowhere to be found online. Guessing they don’t make em anymore?
Yeah a 50ml! They may not make them anymore
Do you like reflection man more than reflection man 45?
Just I have a question: have you ever recorded a fragrance in the mail that suddenly smell how it did when you sampled it??
I’m sorry, I don’t know if I understand your question!
@@stayfreshproductions sorry I was typing that fast. Q: have you ever sampled a fragrance that didn’t smell like or was slightly off after you received a full bottle??
Have you tried Reflection 45 Man and, if so, which of the two Reflections do you prefer?
Haven’t spent enough time with it
Great choices
Let's do ten more that are worth it. BTW, have you tried any of the fragrances of Byredo?
I’ve tried a few from Byredo, Pulp was my favorite so far
@@stayfreshproductions right now I'm finding Sellier a personal favorite.
Can you review Tero from Nishane please
Great video
Thank you
Justin, do you find Tuscan Leather similar to Argos Baccio Immortalle?
Yes. But strong differences
Reflection Man, 40 Knots🔥🔥🔥🔥 … I have 4 of them off this list. Great review, we got to get you to 100k subscribers . May sure y’all hit the subscribe button 👍🏽
Thank you!
Lot more hyped fragrance to go lol! Day 2 of the same video
imo Ombre leather is better than ombre leather parfum and Tuscan leather
Jc I have to ask have you tried musc ravegeur? By Frederic Malle - perfumer Maurice roucel that o e will make your wife go crazy!!
Years ago, need to try it again!
Amouage it’s not a joke. This brand last 10 hrs on my skin.
Not knowing 40 knots was a warm weather fragrance at the time I bought a sample during the fall and it was very nice to me on 1st wear!
I don't believe it is technically a warm weather scent, but in some ways it works all year round! It's actually not my first choice for the summer.
@@stayfreshproductions Right,i understand.
So Tuscan Leather is basically just like Sex Panther.
Oh no Tuscan leather burns my nose
I understand when you say performance isn't a major factor for what you consider to be a "great" fragrance because of the massive collection you have, but to be completely honest it does matter to 90% of people. Most people want to get their money's worth when buying a fragrance.
I understand your perspective. The reason why I say that is because performance is not a “feature” of fragrances-it is not quantifiable like onboard storage in a device, or horsepower in a vehicle. It cannot be determined. It is purely relative and variable. Thus, it is out of our control. I simply find it crazy-making to concern myself with something that is beyond my control. So I enjoy the fragrance for its primary purpose, and what can be controlled-the way it smells.
Just me!
@@stayfreshproductions I respect your POV, and I agree it’s difficult to make objective statements about an art form that is purely subjective.
Thanks Justin 8-18-2024
