I always check for full steps. But now I'm gonna really consider sending the next best one off for grading just in case I can cash in on this 2001-D. Thanks again for educating me.

I have a 2001 nickle with the 1 pushed down lower than it should be. I'm pretty much blind but it stood out to me. Ever seen anything like that?

I have to say, No and Yes to the question. Before I saw the video title I did not realize they were worth so much, but as always, you give us great information on the coins that are valuable. So I knew before watching the video that I was about to learn of another coin that I should be looking for because of it's value.. Thank you for sharing this information with us.

I don’t know that much about nickels but I wouldn’t have expected it to go for that much. But from watching your videos I do make the connection as to why it did. Like the penny nickel, that was neat.

We didn't think they could be that valuable coming from the Denver mint. We will for sure be looking for more 2001 full step nickels.

I really didn't expect the 2001 D to be worth much, even in the high grades. I hunt about 3-4 nickel boxes a week and tend to see many nice 2000 and 2001 nickels in really good condition. Like the 1964, those 2 years appear to have been struck well. Thanks J&B! 👍

How ironic, I was at the store yesterday and picked up a nickel off the ground all beat up! I'll be sure to check it and all other 1s I come across.

I’m always amazed at how much newer coins go for, even in higher grades. I know the chances of finding one are slim, but looking sure is fun.
I had no idea that a 2001D would be worth that kind of money. Now I have another nickel to watch out for.
Not a big nickel guy, so I had no idea about FS designation, and how much the 2001D was worth. Of course, although I'm focused more on Lincoln Cents, I check ALL my change, so I WILL keep a look-out for this one (although I know it's mostly going to be in mint sets)! And I am going to go watch your other video on the 1950D.
Now I know to keep an eye out for another coin. The 2001 D nickel is on my list. Did I think it was valuable before seeing the video, yes but any coin in the highest grade is usually valuable. Love the video, great information.

As soon as I finished this video I got online and order 5 2001 d proof sets . Ha . Thanks you guys . Just started looking at nickles because I received a prewar nickle and a v nickle in pocket change . Did not know anything about either. So will be on lookout for all mints but more Ds. See ya soon

I'm amazed at the price of a 2001 d nickel usually is the pinochle because we all know Philadelphia don't strike very well but like you said population is key that will be searching for I believe I have a few around thank you for the info J and B

5 separated steps on a 2001 FS D nickel. I will have to remember that when sorting nickels. In less than MS-68 grade. Got it.

I didn't know they had lazy or Bad strikes on the newer Nichols, Especially with today's technology. But now that I know about 2001 D is a valuable coin, when i start on my nickel's I will know what to look for.
Yes I figure that the higher grade coins and major errors are always worth good money. I wish it wasn't so expensive to have them graded.
