Something I've noticed while watching you and others getting articulated tractors unstuck, the sideways pull is usually what works the best. Allows the tires to climb out instead of just continuing the rut. The plow plowing while getting pulled out was great. Glad you were able to get them both to drier ground
Been there done that. Way more times than i care to remember. Sunk one so bad had to get a D9 to come dig/pull it out, the rebuild the tore up field. Best one was getting one of the grain trucks stuck during wheat in some soft barely wet sand. Tied combine to it to get it out, stuck the combine. Hooked other grain truck to combine to get it out, stuck that truck. Could of played those chains like a violin if we'd had a bough. Luckily we were only a half mile from the house and rest of the equipment. And more chains ;-).
I use a 4" nylon barge tow line 1500 ton breaking point braided loops. Both ends had to double it once for 20 ton to snap out 40 tons tops of truck tires not showing ...

Pull the plow backwards to free it. Then turn it.
We’ve already purposely dug holes with the tractor pulling out and used the holes as leverage.
If you want to get your hands on some unbreakable, pulling chains, let me know. I got two that you would never break.
How long did it take to get that stuck? Thats pretty impressive
If you would have had duals on probably wouldn’t have got stuck
Small singles for plowing and no difflock with that weight? Definately very bad decision in every condition..
good thing you got 2 tires on each side of the other tractors. you should get some case ih hats to where. im joking john deer i a good brand.
I had an 8640 with a ,50 series engine...strong is not how i would describe it

Best tractor though john deers ever made.was the 4020.Bar none.
We have one
@@MichiganMarineFarmer Know nothing here. Why were the wheels removed? Others seem to have double wheels. Take pity on me, an ignorant guy.
For a Marine he never learned how to recover stuck vehicles.
SON! You’re embarrassing yourself and your Family !
Damn
Well this Marine says thanksnfor watching and hope your day gets better
Where is your tin work hood and side screens for that tractor?
They paint those john deers green for a reason.
Can’t believe the field was that muddy. Where was at ?
Michigan
That's not muddy. Just some damp spots.
I'd brought my 1025r if I had known you was in a bind
it will follow turn or not. Go side ways or hard angle
I think you need triples
Don't ya'll it wet
I think I saw this vary same video a month ago…. Or maybe it seems like it…
Other one was 30 minutes. Shorter version
What happened to the dual wheels? Why were you running singles?
Sorry Don't ya'll know it wet
Why are the duals not on that tractor I bet if you would have put the duals on that tractor it wouldn’t have gotten stuck
❤ from Norway
Much appreciated
Do you have a hood for that 8640?
So the differential for the front wheels doesn’t work?
Appears so
What the heck was he doing plowing in a wet spot like that?
Felt like it
So u can hide them in the weeds. No body knows u got one.lol.
U need a red tractor!
Have one
