  • The Dreadnaught or Dreadnought as it has been nicknamed is the 2.5 Mile long tunnel under Bristols' City Streets. Believe it or not there are other tunnels just as long as this under Bristol... this is just one! Be amazed at what is under our feet that we never knew about.
See baby eels whos parents have migrated 3000 miles swimming up the tunnels which they call home.
Many have photographed these tunnels but this is the first full length expose of a lengthy walk along these tunnels which act as a storm water intercept and also as an overflow for sewage grey water in very heavy rains.
This video is guaranteed to drive the sewer junkies mad as this is one of the largest such interceptor drains in existence and they will be upset that we have filmed it and its ways in (even though there are other videos of it on youtube). Oops. Yes the first threats have come in even as I speak...

Just imagine how beautiful the 1st drone shot would have been without and road going straight through it. up by the cliffs footings. I can image there was medieval pathways back in the day of old.

Matt, please get another drone or upgrade. You like dawn and dust footage. It is awesome but greyer than it should be. I belief that's because the zoom drone that you have has extra glass that what it needs for such footage which the sensor has to compensate for.
    Keep you the good work.

Reminds of Jefferson Explore channel, his last explore was in Chicago storm drains, it was speculated he went in during a storm to capture dramatic footage. He was found 25 miles down the coastline of Lake Michigan washed up on a sandbank, with a hardened turd in his mouth and a smashed skull, according to reports on the forum. His wife later marred a guy she'd been having an affair with and sold his high end camera gear. Some speculate he never really entered the storm drain and that his wife and her lover did away with him and dumped him in it. She would later post to his facebook group that "his last explore was good reason ubrexers should take out insurance". She made a tidy sum on his!

The cable buried under the concrete is a level sensor. The concrete has lots of little holes, at the last 2 feet there are pressure transducers. The deeper the water the higher the pressure.
The cable goes into a cabinet somewhere on the surface and the reading is used to time when to release any stored water or sewage.
    Hope that helps...

Know someone who's father worked for the us fed govt doing drainage stuff out west. They would pull boats, kayaks, 4wheelers and all kinds of shid out of the drainage tunnels wondering if the previous occupants made it out alive

You obviously don't have a tide table either turning up towards high tide. Practice what you preach...
The time of the tide high/low water increases by approximately an hour each day....
Get your self an accurate tide table and learn how to use it... also storm tunnel's or outlets can and will be used by the water board at any time, which you will not know about..
You may well be a pilot (that is scared of hights OMFG), BUT YOU DO NOT KNOW A THING ABOUT THE WATERWAYS/SEA FARING ETC..
    DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN

The second time you go to the tunnel, bring something for the pigeons to eat, you don't come to the guests empty-handed, especially since the pigeons didn't even invite you to come to the guests.🕊🕊🕊🍞🥐🥨😝
