You can't imagine my happiness when I saw that you posted! I really liked that you used a blue pen, because that's something I don't do. It makes your page look vintage. Hope you have a good day!
I love the fly lady helps so much
You could use the weekly to break down zones by day and a quick snapshot of your week...and then use the dailies to make more detailed to-do lists for the day along with observations, journaling, grocery lists etc as you see fit. It was nice seeing a hobonichi that was used as a work horse and didn't focus overly on decor! Refreshing!
you have no idea how much i LOVE your videos especially your journal flip throughs!!
I put flylady in my planner also, but I only take 7 lines across. Home blessing 1 per day and zones 2 per day. It helps so much.
I love the FlyLady! I can’t say that I follow her system very well, but she gives me hope! Those Bic pens are my favorite non-fountain pen. I get the bold ones with the 1.6 tip. I tried a Hobonichi cousin a few years ago. I also had tons of blank dailies, which felt like a waste. There is a day free version, but I wish it also had the weekly section. So hard to find just the right planner!
Hobonichi has a day-free version where there are no dated dailies, just blank grid ones. You might like that one better. So glad to see your new posts. Happy holidays to you and your family!
I love the outside of the journal!!
My mum read fly lady when we were growing up 😭💕 I’m 25 in my own home now and would love a fly lady video- full circle moment 🥰
I’m setting up my first Hobonichi for 2024! 🤗 This video was super helpful! Thank you! I’d also love a fly lady video!
I actually really love seeing a plain pen and paper planner. It was a lovely change of pace!
For the dailies, I just journal, brain dump, keep lists, or whatever, but I don't go by the day. I just ignore that. One day I might journal 9 pages straight, then follow that with a budgeting page and then a shopping list, and not journal for 23 days at all. But I am a journaler and loved that I could do it all in one book. If youre not keen on journaling, I'd recommed the 388 page Wonderland222 with months and weeks and then like an extra 100 pages for miscellany.
I missed you so much! I’m so glad you’re back!!!
My son is 6 years old and i still haven't figured out how to keep my house clean. A video on the fly lady would be very welcome :)
I wasn’t sure what to do with the dailies at first. But after two years- it’s my favorite section. I write my todo list out- in detail (pulled from a section I created in the weeks section). I keep the cousin open to that page while I journal in the morning and I add things as I think of it while drinking coffee. I number them in an order that makes sense and get going. Since I keep it open- I jot notes if there’s a phone call or something important happened. Very Occasionally I will add ephemera from my day. I just think of it like scratch paper after the todo list.😂
Thank you for reminding me about the FlyLady.
Have you heard of the Common Planner from Sterling Ink? I believe it has the same layout as the Hobonichi (dated monthly, vertical dated weekly, daily pages), but the daily pages are completely blank! No stress from that dated journaling page!
I loved this!! I would absolutely LOVE an in-depth video about the fly lady system - my partner and I just got a house so I’d love to nail a cleaning system!
Sending love to you and your family ❤
I use that "line a day" style calendar at the beginning as the index to my daily pages. So if I wrote about gardening on April 24th, I can easily find it again without flipping through the whole book. Especially good if you don't use the pages daily (I sure don't).
We are the same on this one.
I absolutely HATED daily marked pages. Love the idea of them. It in practice- they are terrible 😵💫. Because the aesthetic of having a daily memory/ gratitude/ weather etc was fun- I bought a 5 year journal from Leuchtrumm and that has become my space for that sort of daily keeping. I like it because the daily spots are WAY smaller and I actually don’t pressure myself to write on the day of the date. Weekly I go through and write something for each day based upon my planner.
Then have opted to buy a planner than is ONLY weekly and monthly. It’s incredible ❤️. I too adore weekly and monthly things for planning.
I just keep my journaling separate. It’s beautiful. Buttt I do miss the hobonichi paper for my planner sooo I get that. I am looking into getting something with better paper quality for next year.
I say this with 1000% sincerity, I love that you're using a plain Bic pen.
Now we're looking forward to more in-depth flipthroughs and possibly different organizational systems in your journals/planners/future Hobonichis. You've done a magnificent job with basically writing everything down in a clean and concise manner.
This year was my first hobonichi, too! I tried daily pages but had the same issue. Ended up ignoring the dates and using them as journal pages. I love the sound and feel of that crinkly paper!
Great to see you back and thank you for the video! Hobonichi also makes a Day Free planner which I love! It has the year, and months At A Glance sections, a Monthly section, and then 171 of undated grid pages. You would loose the weeks section, but if you were thinking about trying a Hobonichi Weeks for next year, then it might work.
I feel such joy every time a new video of yours shows up on my feed!! ❤
Also, self care and health and feelings are great topics for parents to check in on and schedule maintenance daily etc kind of the pay yourself first when budgeting theory but not necessarily money… if you don’t trim off the dates
Loved this video showing how you use the Hobonichi Cousin to cover all of the different areas of life! Just got my first ever Cousin for 2024! 😁
Every time I see you post my heart jumps, always love watching you!!
Yayyyyyyyy 🎉 and there’s hobonichi notebooks and you can stamp the date or block the date in this one with washi or sticker
Also day free hobonichi
I am soo happy you are posting again! I have been journaling for years and it started because I found one of your videos and I gave it a try after you talked about how cathartic this experience was for you. So, I wanted to thank you so much because you opened up a whole new world for me. And I wish you and your family joy and happiness in the comming seasons. And no matter what you will do here on UA-cam, you have my support. Also very warm greetings from Czech Republic 😉🌺🌺🌺
I think I saw Megan Rhiannon do it on her channel, but you could use the dailies pages one after the other, then use the yearly spread as the contents page. Like you might write about a topic or something going on the pages for the dates February 8th, 9th and 10th, then you'd go to the front of the book and write a word or term to summarise the entry on the yearly spread for those dates
11:47 i used my hobonichi for the art journal after i used it as a planner...because it's fun....imagine, if you use acrylics, you could completely cover your pages eith the paints, and have a new joirnal all over again!😅
This makes me want to try a Hobinichi! 💚
interested in a flylady video
Same, don’t like the pressure of the market dates…You should try the day free version. :) Have fun!
This is such a cool idea! Never been great at planning things, maybe this would help
As soon as you said 'zones' I knew you were referring to the Flylady. ;) Not sure if you have time to watch a lot of UA-cam these days, but DianeinDenmark is a great channel about the method and how to keep it up.
I would love for you to do an inn depth fly lady video ❤
I use the calendex as a period and migraine tracker 😊
another video already? 🥹 omg we‘re getting spoiled 😍
The Sterling Ink common planner comes in many sizes and has a similar layout to the Cousin, except no dates! I tend to prefer being able to utilize those pages and extra notes space or daily pages as needed
11:24 that's is the reason that i don't like hobonichi- 5he dsily pages. I feel like without them would be much better (i mean without dates, i need the pages for the notes)
if you can do without the yearly spread, you could connect that with the dailies by using the dates to make a contents page?
Where did you get that cover 😮😍
Late to comment but maybe daily pages dates could be trimmed off?
I’m trying to decide about getting it for 2024 is all the sections more than one year even daily pages or is it only the calendar earlier pages that gives you more years.
Yay! The Hobonichi flip-through is here! 💖 I love seeing the inside of your notebooks. I often rewatch your flip throughs from years ago because they inspire me to write. I am tempted to get a Hobonichi, but I am trying to use all the blank notebooks I have until I buy new ones. 😊
Hello Tina, I attempted to make a donation to you the other day but was having trouble with the website. Has anyone else mentioned having issues with the donation site? So appreciative of you making efforts in ways realistic for you to generate videos. I have been utilizing blue ink within my Journal as of late, and the blue ink brought you to mind, instantaneously. ✒
