this'll be the most I see of aberroth in a while I think, because the constantly increasing requirement for those harbingers quests is really burning me out of going that far. I don't mind sticking in some time but doing 100+ corruption on every timeline is a chore
The root of the problem is loot progression. Monoliths wouldn't feel like a chore if you were rewarded. I got to Aberroth at level 98. Never saw a single 4LP. I had some stacked exalteds ready to go but only got one 3LP to slam. Also I was looking for ONE specific class shard so I could scroll of chaos it, didn't see it a single time. I had it in my loot filter, had blessings for it AND kept rerolling affixes on chest pieces trying to get it. NOT ONE. That is baffling with how many hours I've put in this cycle so far. Upgrades are so far & few between, it takes the fun out of ARPGs. I don't want a cheesy meta build and I don't want to buy all of my uniques either. You win this time, Aberroth. I'm not banging my head against the wall to kill you. You'll just drop a useless LP1 anyway.
For anyone reading this, they patched the game now, when you go to any monolith that isn't your highest corruption mono, after doing 1 node a corruption node pops up and it will catch up the mono by exactly 95% of your furthest progressed mono. So after doing just 1 echo you can boost corruption nearly entirely to your peak monolith. You can do this unlimited times and on any monoliths.
Got him on the 4th try with my Stormcrow Beastmaster build with a few tips from the vid, thanks Dread! Dropped me both Null Portent and Wall of Nothing!
Impressive play! Good thing I watched that video before first time attempting him. I won't even bother, the amount of visual clutter is insane, how are you supposed to notice everything he's up to
I felt the void phases in the beginning and end were super dangerous but all the "colored" phases in between didn't really do much. Sounds like having Shift with an immunity node was helpful there. Besides that I was just chickening around hunting down potions while waiting for ward decay. Might be Jungle Queen Belt becomes BiS for bosses due to the amount of potions.
Thanks for the video, very useful, as usual. Came here after dying somewhere around 10+ times on Forge Guard Shield Bash build. Now I know, that I can just stop trying. Last phase will be deadly unless I'll improve my skill and reaction time (which is not an option and the reason I play tanks builds) :) The best I was able to do is to get to the last phase with 4-5 stacks of this stupid debuff :) Maybe will try again, if I'll be able to get x4 damage somehow, because I complete first phase maybe in 4-5 boss rotations. P.S. Regarding these void balls on 7:00, looks like you can clean them up if you put this fire thing (mentioned on 7:45) on them after. At least was able to get some additional info on the mechanics, while I was constantly dying :)

Not enjoying this fight, all this visuals just overwhelm me and I'm not even past the half :D Sad, thing: He seems not even to be thaaaat hard. But it is just too much different stuff to remember all and the visual clutter is a mess. I can't even follow some visuals things here in the video with stop and go :(
hahaha! while watching other clips on this fight, i kept thinking to myself that it's a combination of shaper+sirus fights from PoE. Glad that you also find them similar XD
Update: He died today after 30+ trials. Dr3ad, I'm having big skill issues with Abberoth - could you suggest maybe some gear improvements on this char - I though that my defences are pretty solid. Account: Yakalar , character:Dfoursucks.
it's supposed be hard. it's hard and it's fine. but it's ridiculous. I don't understand why they make him so colorful, it's so boring. he has many skills. dot pools are not obvious enough. I understand them, they wanted to use an original color to create their own lore, and they chose purple. but purple is not obvious enough too. it's a good start to have a uber boss though. i play poe, diablo and this game so much. if I wanted to make uber boss ranking, it would be as follows: diablo - poe - le

I'm the same, already stopped after doing half of them. Corruption & stability farming is still soul crushing and VERY boring

Farm one mono to 500 and then you need one shade furthest away from the center to bump corruption to at least 280.

That's literally everything I hate in bosess... monkey reflexes, random things and non tankable attacks

putting D4 ubers above pinnacle POE bosses is insanity icant - good thing devs dont listen to people like you
D4 ubers are good for people that like to sit upside down on their chairs.
