Can you please do a video about why Nintendo announces games extremely early and then goes completely silent about ti several years (like Bayonetta 3)? It makes people think games like that are canceled or in development hell.
Nintendo is the only one of the big three which relies solely on their video game and video game hardware sales to stay profitable. Xbox has the giant cushion of Microsoft, and Playstation has other Sony electronics, Sony Pictures, etc. That's why traditionally, Nintendo models have always been underpowered compared to their competitors-- they have to make a profit from day one, while their competitors often sell at a loss just to get people in the door. There is zero incentive for Nintendo to make a more powerful model right now because 1) The hardcore gamers make up a much smaller proportion of their customer base than the other big two, and 2) As the console ages, their profit margins on the hardware increase, since the tech becomes cheaper to manufacture over time. This is especially true given that there's already a massive shortage for high end chips. The Switch is still selling very reliably, so there's no financial reason for them to make an upgrade.
The way i see it is it was hyped up by rumours. Its not a switch pro, they never advertised it as such. It's the switch oled model. Most switch owners won't get it. However, i see it as a device for newcomers and for those who's switch is either old or very worn. For example, I'm thinking of fixing the drift on my switch which i got on launch then selling it. Then i might buy the newer model with birthday money and whatever money i get from selling my switch. I would never buy it flat out though. Also, one other thing, i feel like people's expectations are too high. People who wanted a 4k resolution are kidding themselves. I will accept that better fps and Nintendo fixing drift themselves are changes that they should have added by now though.
This title definitely fits better than the first one. That said, I'm pretty sure this isn't the end for the Switch... Not with all of the details like the new graphics chip and so on.
the moral of the story is. Marketing is not as easy as one thinks and with the constant leaks and rumors, it makes it hard for a company to keep their stocks intact and in a safe spot. We've seen this affect other game companies like capcom and it's constant game leaks. So knowing the truth doesn't always mean it's good and expectations are always hard to live up to. PS: btw the new switch model is 50 bucks more then the original one. 50 more bucks, I can buy new joycons with that money cause they keep TOKYO DRIFTING LIKE THE 90's!!!
They can't most of the leak come form their board meeting and Nintendo fan have been demand for more powerful witch since the witch come out. Btw most hardware leak is form assembly factory. It really hard keep a secret on the hardware side cause their are so many parties involved in the production.

So... other than a new stand on it's back and a bigger screen the only difference from the Switch V1 is that the Oled Switch has a longer battery life or what?
The biggest difference would probably be the OLED screen as the name implies. I imagine the batttery life to be not less or slightly less than the V2 model.
and that is why i hope/think nintendo will release an actual updated switch not just oled and memory ..... but a real performance update... more grunt bringing better frame rate and picture quality
Can you please do a video about why Nintendo announces games extremely early and then goes completely silent about ti several years (like Bayonetta 3)? It makes people think games like that are canceled or in development hell.
It's not just Nintendo. But basically companies want to boost sales by "promising" big games even when they're still very early in development.
Nintendo didn't lie. Bunch of speculators came up with the ideal of a Switch Pro based on hearsay on second hand sources. Ooof.
thats not what the video is about
@@snorange14 good thing they changed the title
The OLED isn't the pro. Multiple reporters have said so and the files in 11.0 of the base switch mentions multiple features the OLED does not have
The way i see it is it was hyped up by rumours.
Instead of making slight upgrades how about Nintendo fix my joy con drift. Haven’t been able to play portable for over a year or so now.
you know there's plenty of videos on how to fix joy-con drift right?
@@That1GoldenBoi why should I have to tech ?! I’m not gonna reconstruct my mouse because it’s slightly wonky…
return it to nintendo for free or repair it yourself.
I had no idea about the OLED model…
Nintendo: *changes the screen and the battery*
Also Nintendo: *doesn't do anything about joycon drift*
Nintendo: "ok, that'll be $50 extra"
the moral of the story is.
As soon as the first layer of rhe background apeared I got the doctor who reference
I feel sad for the people who didnt get it
Well I think that they need to put a tighter lid on the security and their secrets on their hardware until that their ready
They can't most of the leak come form their board meeting and Nintendo fan have been demand for more powerful witch since the witch come out. Btw most hardware leak is form assembly factory. It really hard keep a secret on the hardware side cause their are so many parties involved in the production.
It is 1.5 as pro next year due to Chip shortage
The moral of the story feels kinda weak this time, don't you think?
The moral of the story is stop believing anything that's not officially announced. I teach my kids not to expect but to appreciate what we get.
Shouldn't it be "The switch oled, or switch pro as it was formally known" 😅 I think you guys got it mixed up
Not really, they're suggesting the 'pro' was just the OLED model all along.
@@Zigzipy yeah I know but they got the order mixed up 😅
That looks really amazing and outstanding looks much better than the normal switch so this must be the Nintendo switch pro but it's called Nintendo switch OLED model like I said looks much much better thank you Nintendo thank you for creating the new Nintendo switch from your biggest fan in the world Jamie. ❤ 🎮 😁 🎮 ❤
Not really...its the same thing
Yeah it's not the switch pro idk why everyone is getting their hopes up for a switch pro in their head this switch has EXACTLY THE SAME HARDWARE same cpu same red same everything as the regular switch the only new thing is the screen the kickstand and the dock it's still an amazing upgrade but It's not the pro if Nintendo were to do a pro it would need to be on the level of the Xbox and PlayStation with online chat systems and everything in my opinion
i hate oled screens. they seriously give me the worst headache
Sadly We Don't Have Switch Pro Yet...
This is very interesting a new switch
Oh Nintendo, just when you think their skulduggery can't get any worse
Nintendo didn't do anything wrong here. Companies announce products when they're ready to announce them; they have to responsibility to announce new products just because an interviewer asks about speculation and rumors.
The switch Aula is the OLED switch
*Lillie wear Daphine / Velma outfit and giggle*
I guess that trying to switch thing up and tried to pull a new pro gamer they went oled…
Why improve something that isn’t broken.
I see you here and there a lot. Doubt you remember me
well until oled display on the new switch gets screen burn after a hour use use out of the box!
I can't Belive Nintendo Lied, What should I do?
They didn't. Bunch of BS'ers did and now they want to shift blame.
@@willcail TL DR, Just kidding It's Not Too Long, I did read it btw.
If link’s awakening HD gets frequent and repeated frame drops, there’s no hope for nintendo’s sorry ass when botw2 drops next year
Now tell me why bdsp is doing the same
I had no idea myself.
Never bought any Switch, don't plan to get one yet.
Then why are you even here?
This is like the perfect Switch for a not broke person
Actually not new model in sense of new generation like PS4 to PS4 Pro or even PS5. More like XL version of 3DS in the past. Because more like same internal but different on the outside.
And still, after 3 model launch still didnt have enough money to buy that even for lite one.
This is not the switch pro everyone was talking about
Maybe the leakers did actually know that all that was is an oled screen but they lied for the clicks
Also known as Nintendo Switch : EMMI edition
No, they didn't lied.
Oh to have money to buy this model~
The controllers need to be like Xbox controllers in terms of durability
You mean breaks in a day
Switch(oled model) is just an option and its just similar to 3ds XL
Those leaks are hyping to much...
The only reason I have a switch lite is because I have a brother. Why pay 600 dollars when you can only pay 400
Welp either way, since its not a switch pro, it just means ill just get a switch lite like i was always going to
Yeah to get unfixable drift. Good job my guy
id say go og switch even if you wont use dock as much
@@lightning_jayy5513 personally knowing myself. I'm never gonna use my switch that much since I'm always gamimg on my PC and the lite is a cheaper option
@@manutdfan231 fair enough the sticks getting drift bother me tho
@@lightning_jayy5513 yea I'm really getting it for Pokemon, and Fire emblem and any other Jrpgs so that's really my main focus for getting a switch
Does it drift tho???
There an 80 percent chance of it happening
@@LilfoxTheHybridHylian5967 AAAAA
@@cheeselad2401 it will tho...but if you have a standard switch u can always buy the oled switch dock tho...it works with the normal switch
Hahahaha hahahah such an original and new and totally unseen comment . Kudos
0:06 shaggy?
Well that plan didn't work lotta fans been holding holding back from buying just over the rumors
It's not a new model, it's just a better screen and sound.
And sound
@@cheeselad2401 And more internal storage....
The hell is an OLED Switch?
tldr a switch with a better kick stand and wider screen
couple week later steam deck was announce lol
