  • The last bolt the was holding on to the fuel rail stripped!
But I managed to re-thread the bolt hole and put everything back.
Apologies for not having the mode to film on.

      Hello David,
I am very good. Yes, I did replaced all the injectors. I did not have the 4th video as when I was taking out the fuel rail, one of the bolts had stripped so it would be a long process so I decided not to continue with the filming. So sorry! It was one of my first few attempts at filming my repairs so hope you enjoyed it.
The fuel rail is not hard to remove, just need firm force and wriggle a little. Some of the injectors will come off with the rail, some will stay stuck on the engine.
Remember to clean the injector holes on the engine before putting them back. The O-rings of the injectors have to be oiled with clean engine oil so that they will slide into the fuel rail easily.
Injectors in first, align with the connectors facing downwards, put the clips on the rail properly then push the fuel rail back slowly while easing the rail onto the injectors.
It’s all by feel, can’t really see so have to have good feeling. Hope this helps!
I have not been uploading new videos which i have filmed a few. Been busy with work!
Will try to sit down and edit some and upload. Wait for it!
      CHEERS!

@@ElginLim great Elgin thank you very much :) I plan to clean them, they do have they're tiny filters right? is any indication how to purchase the right ones with a set of o'rings? . Cheers;)

Yes, you can clean them but I am not sure of the kit that can be bought. Usually need a machine to clean them with high pressure. Or you can send them to the specialist shop and they would sort everything out for you.
Unfortunately, you can’t buy brand new injectors anymore as Bosch has stop making them. Don’t ask me why.
I have my old set that I plan to refurbish and use later.
Original O-rings from Bosch still ca be bought online, Blue colour. The Bosch service kits are still available, it should consist of the O-rings, the plastic rings that supports the O-rings and the teflon rings which sits at the tip of the injectors. Google it and they should pop up.

      Hi,
      Thanks for the positive comment.
Unfortunately, the video was not recorded. But the injectors were removed and replaced with new ones.
The fuel rail will have to be removed to access the injectors. When the fuel rail is pulled off, the injectors may or may not come out with the rail. In that case, twisting and pulling them gently will loosen them.
Do note the blue O-ring and a plastic support ring under the O-ring may break. Both these parts are critical to ensure a secure fit. The new ones should all be good. If you are not replacing with new ones and getting the old ones serviced, there are repair kits that supplies the O-rings, the plastic support rings, the teflon white rings at the injector's end and the micro filters.
Before fitting back, make sure that the O-rings are oil and the injector holes in the engine are cleaned. Gently push in the new injectors with the connectors facing down.
Once you are sure the O-rings are oiled and the gasket of the fuel rail is cleaned, gently align and tap the fuel rail into position making sure that the injectors line up and all the bolt holes line up. The injectors have clips that are attached to the rail so make sure that the clips sits properly too. It is quite a blind process to install back, so must have a certain "feel" when pushing the rail back.
The rest will be the reverse of taking out.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more information.
      Thank you!

Elgin Lim yes I have a question, I find one have same part number, but different hole, Bosch have 2 holes, I find only got 1 hole. Do you have some ideas?

    • @ElginLim
      @ElginLim  3 роки тому

@@user-id5sg8dk8hNo idea. If it is the same part number from bosch, it should be the same. Unless it is a fake item. Sometimes it may be of a different batch production.
But for this part, I would suggest to keep any spares you have and send them for service and recondition. Cos Bosch no longer make them.
