Happy 4th of July ! How blessed we are to be living in the “ land of the free and the home of the brave”. When I read history, I can’t imagine the sacrifices the men, women, and even children made as our young country was being birthed. There are things we’d all like to change and see done differently, but we are still in a blessed nation. May God continue to bless us……and may we always bless Him.

I get things out of the freezer and let them defrost in fridge and make something out of them, it may be different than I thought but I make something. You could also make two of something and freeze one for later. I always cook for leftovers.

This is just a suggestion but I really like the way Megan Ross does her monthly meal plan on her channel - maybe some ideas there for having a loose plan that will work for you.

With those ideas you at least know what you need to purchase at store, good job. As a senior citizen, I don't meal plan but make sure I have meats, veggies, starches available. Summer needs to be easy

If you like the idea of the cordon blue, but not the idea of making it, turn it into a pasta dish! I love cordon blue. But it’s a pita to make. So I add a heavy cream and cream cheese sauce over the browned chicken cut into bite size pieces, chopped ham and some cooked pasta. Top it with a layer of cheese and then a thin layer of bread crumbs. Melt some butter and pour it over the bread crumbs. Bake it for 30ish min at 350, and wala.. dinner is served in a version of cordon blue that kills the craving without the hassle.

Sounds delicious but Gerry is weird about stuff like that - he doesn’t like the idea of combining two different meals. Like Philly cheesesteak pasta, etc. he’s like no, pasta is pasta and a Philly cheesesteak is a Philly cheesesteak 😂
