Over a 15min video and didn't see anyone stand on the corner selling dope. No professionals hanging out advertising their product. No homeless sucking filth out of a paper bag. Tell me what is so bad about this place? I've been there countless times and never had any problems. Edit; I think a lot of commenters are confusing poor with violent. Just because the mills shut down and the community went broke doesn't mean they started killing each other.
Over one half of the properties in McKeesport are abandoned. Add in another thousand that should be condemned. One doesn’t see much in this video because it is taken in daylight. Other videos taken in daylight, one can clearly hear all of the gunshots. One can also hear gunshots each and every single night of the year. All of McKeesport is beyond repair, and has been that way for decades
It might not be America's absolutely worst town, but it's on that list. It's got to be the #1 worst town to drive around. Steep, narrow streets that are poorly maintained. People parking in either direction makes you question if you are going the wrong was on a one way street at every turn, and basic street signs like DEAD END, DO NOT ENTER, NO OUTLET, RIGHT TURN ONLY are nowhere to be seen.
McKeesport Pennsylvania population peaked at about 55,000 in 1940 to around 17,000 today, not as bad as East St. Louis Illinois though.which peaked at 82,000 in 1950 to about 18,000 now and crime there is even worse there than McKeesport..All I can say is bring out the demolition crews, plenty of abandoned homes in both places.
Bull shit. Reading PA is continuously ranked among the most dangerous cities in the U.S. and you think McKeesport is bad? Ever been there? It's just like this video. Absolutely nothing going on.
There used to be a lady comedienne named Donna Jean Young, I used to see on the Ed Sullivan show and Laugh In the late 60's who used to joke about living in McKeesport, PA. To her RIP, she must be spinning in her grave at this sad state of affairs.
We wuz Kings and we still are in the funny thing is this is a majority White Town and take a look at the Kensington neighborhood in Philly all those white addicts everywhere
Says who? Where'd that statistic come from? In the list of worst cities in the U.S. by violent crimes per capita McKeesport is ranked somewhere in the 1500s. There's nothing dangerous about McKeesport. A few years back Reading, PA and Newark, NJ were 14th and 15th. I don't remember which was 14 and 15. Even as far as Pittsburgh goes McKeesport isn't even in the top 20 ranking of bad neighborhoods.
Nasty funky Dirty Stinky town
